Our studio is a hive of talented and like-minded artists who offer a unique and exceptional experience for our clients. With some of the best tattoo artists in the Hampton Roads area all under one roof, we are dedicated to exceeding every client's expectations on every visit.
Our 5,000 square foot studio offers a range of services including tattoos, body piercing, permanent cosmetics, and tattoo removal. We have a designated consultation area where clients and artists can discuss their next tattoo project or service in comfort and privacy.
At The Collective, we maintain a friendly, fair, creative, and positive environment that respects diversity, ideas, and hard work. We prioritize providing a clean and safe environment for all customers, whether tattooed or not, where everyone feels welcome and their individual needs are catered to.
For walk-in tattoos, availability may be limited on weekdays but we always have several artists available on Saturdays and Sundays for same-day tattoos. We recommend arriving early on weekends to secure a spot on the waitlist. Piercings are by appointment only to enhance the client experience, and appointments can be booked on our website.

"Amazing. The shop: Filled with plants, crystals and jewelry. Cozy velvet seating with a steam punk vibe. Gorgeous light fixtures throughout the shop. You can that this shop is a labor of love. Dave and Melissa are very talented and good at what they do. Each artist has their own private room! Very clean facility. Artists and employees: No Rockstar attitudes here. Everyone is humble and kind. They treat each other like family, and there is no drama! Each artist is very talented. They host traveling artists, and have a few resident artists to suit every style.
