Food Lion

"I have been going to this food lion for years but after today I won’t be going back the plaza has pan handlers and thieves the customer who proceeded to Harass me today with her ghetto family week my nerves they can’t keep mgt there because customers chase them off ! My family spends about 1500 a month there I’m done !!I live in the neighborhood in the back and we all need to ban that plaza until they get pan handlers and ratchet under control ! Update-11/26/2023 I started going back because I thought it was getting better but once again the parking lots out of control people with nice cars parked in handicapped that’s not disabled ! People parked in fire lanes again! People walking in stealing no one doing nothing about it but yet they wanna following me around like I’m stealing cause I give my business to them three times a day ! My kids forget things so I gotta go back for my recipes shelves aren’t stocked anymore like they used to be I live behind the food lion so it’s convince for me but I’ll buy from bp now certain things and I’ll go to Kroger and after today I’m calling corp on the owner of the plaza it’s unsafe it’s a hazard and the owners doing nothing but collecting funds for a building that needs to be condemned and I’m sick of almost getting ran over every time I go in the parking lot ! I’m sick of people parking in fire lanes I’m sick of them parking in handicap when the true handicap needs it ! They need security! The buildings been empty for years cause the owner refuses to fix anything and charges outrages please fees ! The employees are great they gotten better but the shelves aren’t stocked and that makes me mad because it’s supposed to be the products are there but noones stocking them or they don’t have enough help ! And I’m mad grounded allspice is sold out but yet all others stores have it then they want five bucks s for it ! Rip off ! I’m once again boycotting food lion and I’ll be posting on Nextdoor app to band them until the owner does better ! See ya next year elmhurst food lion if that Update -11-28-2023 they did allspice back in the stocker who's been there for years was the first to tell me the cashiers were very helpful this time around -the stores stockers are great and cashiers its mostly the property Mgt that's the issue they need security badley at that plaza! This plaza used to be well up kept and no empty buildings now its a dump of a building and the building has vacant suites for years so mice and homeless crash there !the parking is out if control people who have nice cars not disabled park in the fire lanes and in the handicap parking ! I started out with a 1 star but things could get better so I'll put a 4 this time because the commercial property mgt sucks he or she ain't doing their job !"

"Being from out of town, we felt like the food lion was family. Grocery list in hand we found every item needed for a short stay. Staff was totally focused on customer service, led by an older lady in customer service and helped much by a young man named Gary or glen?"

"This one is clean, and the majority of staff are friendly and helpful. The people at the deli and butcher shop always go the extra mile to get the things I'm looking for. They've also recently added self checkout lanes, which really help get people in and out."
