"I wish I read the reviews. My story is when the container was dropped off it was placed where the driver had to drive partially in the grass. At first I was not going to accept delivery, but was told it was no problem. Now that I have scheduled pickup it cannot be completed. 3x now pickup has failed because the truck sank into my yard leaving huge divots! I keep having to reschedule pickup and still getting charged storage due to non pickup! I'm at the point I will have to get a U-Haul and empty the thing out myself. Never again will use PackRat. I will update if this problem is resolved in a timely manner. Update: I changed to 3 stars because PackRat has excellent Customer Service. Though I had to empty out the container myself and the local Manager would never call me; corporate CS is very good."

"Do not use this company. First, they delivered a container with a big hole in it. It rained the next day and was wet inside. After many phone calls and a week, they delivered an undamaged one. Then, on the day of the delivery to the new location, they said they'd be there after 4. It never came and they rescheduled us for four days later, which meant we had to pay the movers cancellation fee. It never came the second time and no one contacted us to tell us. It took 7 hours to get a call back from them and be told it'd be another 2 days. They still haven't delivered it."

"Let me start by saying, I have never written a negative review before. I like to extend as much grace to people as I possibly can. With that said, this is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. It started out great. I talked to someone who gave me "great pricing" and the pod was delivered within 2 days. A week after it was delivered, they picked it up for another week and brought it back as I requested. *This was all suppose to be included in the original payment.* When we received the pod, glasses were broken and it looked like the whole thing was shaken up. They offer insurance, but I declined as I thought it was to protect my things from being stolen, not from rough handling. I excused that and thought maybe I should've packed it better. I will take the blame. The real issue is where they parked it when they dropped it off. I told them EXACTLY where to put it, just like the first time. They put it in the front of my driveway where no one could get past it to park. I am now having to carry boxes to the street to put in my car. I called them to ask to have it moved. They said it would be a $95 fee to move it, when THEY made the mistake in parking it the wrong way. I told them forget it, I just want to cancel the service. I will take all boxes out and use another facility. I told them I needed it picked up within 2-3 days. They refused to waive the extra charge and told me the first available day would be in a week. I was escalated to a supervisor and they would not budge. Tell me how a company that charges customers $100 to drive 8 miles to lift a container and 8 miles back can't pay one of their employees overtime to help a customer that is in desperate need. After a month and a half, I will have paid out my entire paycheck to these people. I am a young homeowner and this is my first time moving. I will not be fooled by fake advertising again. I wrote this so no one else puts themselves in this situation. I am so disappointed."

"Order #7725173. Container was delivered on the correct date and picked up for storage without incident or delay on scheduled dates. I have paid those associated charges($520) . The problem is the scheduled re-delivery date(July 28th), was cancelled without my knowledge. It wasn’t delivered the next day either when I had hired movers to meet me. I called the customer service line when I discovered the re-delivery did not take place and was offered a delivery date of 7/31. I explained that we would not be able to unload the container for weeks since the original date was missed, and I would call back or reschedule online. Your company delivered the container anyway.Pack Rat wanted to leave this in an unguarded parking lot for over three weeks and leave me subject to potential vandalism, theft and fines from property manager or local law enforcement. The container was removed from the parking lot on 8/3 , stored at their facility until 8/17 then re-delivered TO THE WRONG ADDRESS! Pack Rat delivered it to the original pickup address! I only discovered this AFTER I drove two hours from home to unload my possessions. I was promised a re-location that morning (no later than noon according to customer service). I now had a second group of movers hired to unload and you were nowhere to be found. We started unloading the container and walking the contents UPHILL to the correct address at the other end of the parking lot. The driver texted and called at 6pm to re-locate the container but claimed he couldn’t because there were cars parked next to the container. In a parking lot. Once again, Pack Rat was expecting us to solve problems of their own creation. If they re-located the container in the morning the cars wouldn’t have been a problem. Their inability to manage dates and deliveries has caused me to be billed an extra month of fees ($761). I never contracted for this, and the additional charges are entirely their fault and therefore their responsibility."

"We were delivered a container that has a decent size hole in the floor, they taped over it, which made loading and unloading interesting to say the least. When we scheduled it to be picked up and taken to the new place it sat all day long. We called to find out that it could be up to 10pm before it was picked up. What a way to make the new neighbors like you, have a container delivered in the middle of the night. Now we have emptied it and scheduled for it to be picked up on Saturday. We are are still waiting for them to come get it on Monday! Tried calling, 55 minute wait, fine we can wait that out. Nope, automatically they insist on you leaving a callback number. Never again with this company!! At least PODS showed up when they said they would. Tuesday update. It’s still here. So far I have been placed on hold numerous times totaling over 6 hrs. We never get to speak to anyone, the line gets disconnected when we’ve reached the “estimated wait time”. We’ve done the leave a number from them to call you back, they don’t call. We’ve emailed and have received no reply. Crickets!"
