The Sandman Comedy Club

"I found this club to be very clean neat and well organized. The staff also consists of the owner and his wife which take good care of you. Everybody has to go through security when they enter the building. It's currently a comedy club but I've heard rumors that they're going to be converting it into more of a bar nightclub, don't quote me on that. Good parking around the establishment in the way of a garage and also an outdoor lot. So that wasn't an issue which is my biggest complaint with downtown Richmond. They have an app that they use on the table that's a little bit confusing to order food and drinks. Just be aware when you scan the QR code on the table you are now logged into that table settings so you and the person across from you maybe sharing the same tab, very important when you go to check out."

"The bar had a decent selection. The seating is awkward. Get there early for a good spot. It was first come, first serve for the show I attended. Definitely go to the bathroom [which were very clean and stocked] to see the bank vault!"

"Hadn't heard of this venue, but an ad popped up for a Bobcat Goldthwith show. I always wanted to see him, so I got some tickets. The place is an old bank in downtown Richmond. It's a good-sized place with able seating. There is a large open main room, then up a little some seating on the left and a balcony on the right. Pretty much do all your ordering of food and drinks on your phone, which is convenient and not at the same time. The wait staff tells you to order early. They were very nice and worked together as a group, we had a couple wait o us. The stage is easy to see, and they have a TV broadcasting the show. We got a few things to snack on, tots and Buffalo shrimp, and both were good. We were at the 9:30 show, and the wait staff let us know of all the items they were out of. We had a great time, it was a great show, and we will definitely be coming back to The Sandman!"

"One of our new "Go to" places! The comedians are always funny and usually nationally known.Tickets are $20 each but if you join their email club,you can score tickets for $1.50 a piece.They have a great variety of items on their menu,all of which are reasonably priced.Their salads are beautiful, the pizza is delicious ,and they have crunchy fried fish and loaded tots which my friend orders every time we go!You scan the code on your table when you get there and all ordering is done online.This makes for convenience and no waiting for a server to come check on you throughout the night .Its nice that you can wrap up your tab when your ready to go too. The doors open at 530 for the early show which starts at 7pm.We have time to enjoy one,or several,of their special cocktails,beer or wines, eat some delicious food, Laugh till we leak ,and be home and in bed by 10!"

"We had an awesome time at the first show here at the beautiful new comedy club in Richmond! The local comics were so much fun and we can't wait to see all the comedians that will be coming to RVA. It's so nice to have a comedy club that's actually in the city! The comics were great, the food is excellent, and there isn't a bad view in the whole venue. Love it"
