"Love the lay out. Great for all skill levels. Greens though were a little furry. Made for a difficult day of putting."
"Sep '23. Pros: fair price, electric cars with divot fill, nice range, good pace of play, bunkers raked, scenic backdrop, many mature trees on every hole, bermuda fairways. Cons: about 6 holes not super memorable, greens recently punched - quite slow, and bumpy, fairways and tees were not recently mowed, rough thick enough to lose balls in many places right off fairway."
"Beautiful course. Well maintained. Overall nice experience, except … NO WATER on the course. NONE, NADA, ZILCH! Upper 80’s with humidity to match. NO BEVERAGE CART! On a weekend???? “No outside coolers allowed” … ONE porto-potty! But I suppose with no water, one doesn’t need a porto. The final insult was the LOUD, FOUL-mouthed, obnoxious group of “golfers” playing in a tournament. A tournament on a Saturday … And we drove 3 hours for that. Won’t go there again."
"I was born and raised in the Roanoke Valley, and moved back in July of 2022 after being away for eight years. Hanging Rock was a favorite course of mine, prior to my re-locating, and after playing there for the first time in almost a decade, it not only tops my list in this area, but is a SOLID top 5 in courses around the country that I have personally played. OUTSTANDING job, guys/gals! I will definitely be back soon."
