Promax Performance

"I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST HIRING PROMAX PERFORMANCE TO SERVICE YOUR VEHICLES! I had PROMAX to replace the rear brakes on my bus a few weeks ago, Larry Bailey, the owner of Promax instructed me to purchase new parts myself from the International Dealer, which I did. Larry’s employee Justin performed the work. The very first time the bus was used a week or so later, it broke down just 30 minutes into the trip, as a result of the shady brake job that Justin performed. I had the bus towed back to Promax and after almost two weeks of waiting for Larry to check it out, i couldn’t wait any longer so I decided to have it towed to a reputable shop to repair the damage caused by Promax. I contacted Larry Bailey to inform him of what the other shop said was wrong, and he said that since I did not purchase the parts from Promax, he is not responsible and not going to stand behind their work. He never gave me the option to purchase the parts from Promax. He also stated that his employee, Justin, who is also his cousin BTW, did not do anything wrong. Larry was out of town at the time Justin did the work and there is no way he can be sure the work was done properly. He is simply going on the word of Justin that he done what he should have done. I am now out over $11,700.00 for repairs to have a reputable and qualified shop fix the damage Promax caused, refunds to my client that was in the bus when it broke down, tows etc. The breakdown was caused by a rear wheel bearing failure, which resulted in having to replace the new brakes on one side, a broken axel, rebuild the axel housing, replace wheel bearings etc. Promax should have replaced the bearings when they did the brake job and this would not have happened! The International dealership told me that they ALWAYS include wheel bearing replacement when they do a brake job. I asked Larry why he did not replace the bearings, and he said that I told him to not replace them, WHICH IS A LIE! He never mentioned to me that the wheel bearings should be replaced! Larry Bailey, the owner of Promax Performance is dishonest and will not stand behind their work and refuses to pay for the damage his employee caused."
