"I began coming to Kanisha about six months ago based on the healthy heads of hair I had seen my coworkers with and upon finding out that Kanisha was responsible for those healthy heads of hair. Since Kanisha has been doing my hair, it is the healthiest it's ever been. She keeps my pixie cut on point and I constantly receive compliments on my hair, even when it needs to be done! Very professional demeanor and welcoming personality. She also truly CARES for the client's hair. She even recommended products that I am currently using that keep my hair looking salon styled and healthy in between visits with her. Depending on the day, the wait can be a little bit long, but I've found that Kanisha doesn't rush her work and gives each client the attention their hard earned dollars deserve. I've seen nothing but healthy heads of beautiful hair, no matter the style parade through Unique Elegance and highly recommend their services."

"I don't normally do this but I DO NOT tolerate bad customer service. Unfortunately this stylist is the salon owner so any complaints I have will fall on death ears. So here's my warning to others AVOID Kanisha Johnson at Unique Elegance Salon!!!! Stylist @10:52 pm: Good evening I need to push your daughters appointment to 2 in the afternoon. I didn't realize how close it was to the holiday and I need time to get familiar with her hair. Please text me back at your earliest convenience to confirm. Me @ 6:24 am: Good morning. No thank you. I already have other things scheduled for today. Stylist: I understand, I am unable to do her hair any time earlier. I sincerely apologize if you would like to reschedule I will extend a discount to you for your inconvenience thank you, have a blessed day. Me: No thank you. I feel this is very unprofessional and disrespectful. She is a CHILD and I told you it was Easter weekend when I booked the appointment. Stylist: Due to the fact that she is a new client I want to be able to give her my undivided attention. What would be even more unprofessional is if I didn't communicate with you and allowed her to come in at that time and then wait all day. Please understand I do realize this is a great inconvenience to you that is why I apologized however I did extend the same courtesy to you one week ago when you needed to reschedule. I understand your feelings that is why I have offered to you to wither bring her today just at a later time and if that wasn't good I offered you a discount and you declined. Again I sincerely apologize and thank you for your patronage. Me: You still could have told me this earlier this week. I could have tried to find someone else to do her hair. The night before is unprofessional. You knew she was a new client, you knew it was Easter weekend....no excuses."
