"They didn't even have a bay open. But when they found out my father had passed away. And I needed to get my father's truck tuned up and a few other things done. They took a car out they were working on. Pulled my father's truck in. Done a complete tune up. And put a hitch on the back. And only charges me 50 dollars for 2 hours of work. "Read This extra long review before reading the person who rated only 1 star. I'm not related to anyone there, and have no bone in it other than a customer. I'm certainly not paid for this review. So read on to see my TRUE and FACTUAL review. I'd stake my reputation and integrity on my review 100%. If you're not going to be doing the work yourself, and must take you vehicle to a garage, I can't recommend Calhoun's enough. They've been around for years, and I've had them do work for me since they were behind town (before Walmart and the new town arrangement for you young whippersnappers), I'm not big on reviewing stuff and don't do it often enough. Many times people don't review the good things, only the bad. Calhoun's has a very courteous, professional, and talented group of people working there. Curtis has done most of the work I've had completed there recently, but even 20 years ago the work was done right and at the most reasonable rates anywhere around here. If in doubt, take it to Calhoun's. A+++ I really can't say enough good things about this fine establishment. EDIT: I just read the other review with one star. And while I've had to run across the street before myself to advance or something, I've never had any issues like the "Google User" Posted. If it's that bad put your name on it. Back it up. Yeah they work for the police and big business, but I've been laid off work from the coal mining business for a 3 years now and had something done about a year ago that was a bit much for me mainly due to my lack of tools especially power tools and impact wrenches. Honestly, I wouldn't have done the work myself for someone else for the price they charge me. I already had the part, but again, It was a good size job, not major like engine replacement, but after I explained that I only had the one vehicle, they said they'd do it while I waited, which they did and did promptly. I know everyone has bad days, but I've NEVER received bad service from them. EVER. That could change. But I just had a vehicle towed by them, and Curtis told me that if one guy couldn't get to it, that he'd do it himself this evening. I just don't see how anyone could rate calhouns one star. I honestly can't see it. NO they're not just for big business, not just for the police, and not just for the docs and lawyers in town. They're for the little guys like me too. And I appreciate that. I've been nice and polite to them, because they've always, always, been NICE, POLITE, COURTEOUS, and PROFESSIONAL to me. Once I had a transmission put in a lowered S-10 I owned 20 years ago. They did that for a most reasonable price, and even told me what I could have done to prevent the failure. SInce the transmission I bought as a replacement was from an S-10 but slightly different, they had to fabricate a bracket because the stock one didn't line up properly. Even after going the extra mile for me, they stuck to the price they quoted me. You can't beat service like that."
