"First time trying this local sandwich shop. It was extremely busy during the 11 o’clock rush for lunch. My review is based on a to-go order placed at the kiosk. Would’ve given it a 5 stars but I wasn’t acknowledged for quite a long time and didn’t feel welcomed. Waited 30 mins and 40$ later for 2 sandwiches and 2 sides of fries. Sides are separate, no combo options. If on a time constraint for lunch it would be best to call order ahead. Also would be better to sit and dine in because by the time I got to my destination for lunch fries were soggy as was the bread. But the flavor of the cheesesteak sandwich was amazing. Blows Charleys Cheesesteaks out of the water. The bread was buttery and overstuffed to the max with filling. The consistency of the chopped steak and onions was perfect. Ambiance was laidback surfer vibes. Beautiful tapestries and bright colors throughout. Cozy corner with papasan chairs upon entering. Not a lot of choices in Downtown Hopewell so this was a great and needed addition."

"Food was amazing! They fill your sandwiches with meat and the flavor of both the cheesesteak and the Italian sub way amazing! We also got the buffalo wings, also amazing. Full of flavor, fried perfectly, very little grease, even the fries were good! I had the mermaid water & they had the mojitos with Bacardi, they were very generously made. We will definitely be back."

"Good sandwich. I got the club sub, didn’t get any sides. The Club Sub came with a good amount of meat, some sandwich places don’t give that much so that was awesome. The atmosphere was good, had cool interior design and lots of seating. The service was good too, food came out fast and they gave me a refill on my drink before I even asked. Definitely recommend trying this place out, this is a place I’ll be coming back to."

"I went with a group from work and had the Roast Beef Sub... never been here before and to be honest I never knew about Waves Sandwich Company... I absolutely loved the sandwich! I didn't order a side but it came with some pickle chips in a small container...those were fabulous as well! The atmosphere was very relaxing and the waitress was awesome! I will definitely be back!"

"Waves sandwiches are definitely making waves!!! These sandwiches are delicious; they are packed with meat and the bread is soft and fresh! I am not usually a fan of macaroni salad, but theirs is made with just the right macaroni and mayo with a touch of dill. The service and atmosphere is also on point. We were greeted upon entry. And our Order was taken within the first ten minutes, even though they had a packed house. We loved the ocean painted walls and the wave flags. There was a seating area that was spacious warm and inviting; it looked perfect for having a working lunch. We highly recommend this place and are definitely going to be coming back! Way to go Meredith, Michael and Wave Staff!"
