Sugar Shack Donuts & Coffee

"I ordered these donuts a year ago to be picked up to treat my team at work. I showed up at the time designated to pickup and the people at the counter pulled off 6 tickets from the order printer and said they would get started on it for me. I ordered it for a certain time so I could run another errand and make it to work on time. I didn’t have time to wait so I had to go. I did not get any food and I was not refunded any money. A year later my team got team of the month ,last week, so I decided to give them another chance. I ordered two dozen donuts and picked the option to surprise me the night before I needed them. I was getting ready for work and got a message that my order had been canceled as they could not fill my order for any completely random assortment of donuts. I called them twice over the next hour since I promised my team at work donuts that morning and to make sure they would know i would literally take any donuts they had. I didn’t need a special order. The phone went to voicemail both times. Thankfully i had time to order Dunkin. I do not love donuts from Dunkin’ but I had to order them since I couldn’t get them from Sugar Shack. Update** Sugar Shack got back to me on the review and apologized for me not getting any food when I ordered and offered to make it right. I updated my review to reflect that the ambience and the food there are good and I appreciate them getting back to me. I don’t think there’s much else a business can do but apologize and try and make it right after making an error. I will order again and update the review if I am able to get food. Thanks!"

"I've gotten donuts here 3 or 4 times and burgers and fries twice. Overall, the food is delicious. I was impressed at the wide selection of burgers and vegan donuts, including turkey and vegetarian burgers. The burgers are big and juicy; my only quibble is with the uninteresting, pseudo-brioche buns. I tried the BBQ-seasoned waffle fries and they were flavorful but not spicy; a regular serving is huge. Except for the hamburger buns, the food tasted made from scratch. The workers are all friendly and well-spoken and know the menu backwards and forwards. There aren't a lot of tables inside nor out but the restaurant nonetheless has really nice ambiance: clean, modern, plants on the patio, warm and inviting. There's plenty of parking b/c the building used to be a 7-11. (You can still see the OG architecture.)"

"Donut lovers BEWARE: 6 donuts ordered, $15 surprise! Half dozen for kids donuts? Extra random charges like service charge? I used cash. Overcharged. Don't get the large apple fritter... tasteless breaded inside topped with an icing. More like apple "frittered" away my taste buds! Save your dough and find a sweeter deal elsewhere! #DonutDissatisfaction"
