Lumpkin Restaurant & Motel is a traditional diner and motel located in Scottsville, Virginia. Since 1970, we have been serving comforting homemade meals, delicious desserts, and exciting daily specials to our guests. Our friendly staff welcomes you to come as you are and enjoy our cozy atmosphere near the James River. Whether you choose to dine-in, take-out, or enjoy outdoor seating, we have something for everyone. In addition to our restaurant, we offer four motel rooms for overnight guests and long-term travelers. Our hours of operation are Mon-Tue 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Thu-Fri 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Sat 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM, and Sun 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM. "7/23/23 bacon was over cooked on my BLT Fries were over cooked. Mac n cheese tasted burnt 8/6/23 decided to give them another go since it use to be one of my favorite places to eat. It’s something my man & I instantly regretted. It took forever for us to receive our food. His Mac n cheese tasted as if it was from a can, his fries & chicken fingers tasted as if they had been cooked twice. The service sucked bcuz we didn’t get asked if everything was ok & she’s didn’t refill our drinks. Needless to say she got no tip & it’ll be a very long time before we ever go there again. I can’t believe that Lumpkins of all places has went onto the list of places that lost us being customers."
"Ate a pretty dismal dinner here. Beef and gravy on white bread with canned green beans and whipped potatoes. Greasy double burger with Kraft singles or similiar as cheese. Baked goods OK. Nice people, maybe breakfast is the meal to eat here?"
"Delicious food and super friendly efficient staff. My favorite thing here is the warmed homemade cinnamon roll! Can't beat the cleanliness and service. Second time just as wonderful and welcoming as the first"
