"Not impressed. This comes after a cumulative series of events. This started when I saw a Facebook post about a new service, body scrubs. I contacted the business through Facebook Messenger and inquired about availability for the following day. I didn't get a response until the next day almost 24 hours later saying nothing was available for that day, the same day I had inquired about. By that time, I wouldn't have been able to do anything because when I didn't get a response from the previous day I made other plans. Honestly to me, it seemed like it was forgotten about and was only a follow up after the fact. However, I was asked if I wanted to schedule for the next week. I couldn't because I was having surgery that week and didn't know how long it would take to recover. So jump two weeks ahead, I contacted them again on Monday. Inquired about availability that Friday. Was told 11am was open so I agreed. With my work schedule, I don't get very many days off so once this was set, I stacked a couple of other commitments afterwards. A half hour later I get a message asking if I could reschedule for 10 or 12:30 because they were switching systems and the 11 spots was already booked(?). It's possible things got mixed up, so I agreed on 10. But it also made me wonder if 10 was available in the first place, why that wasn't stated also as a option. The Week goes by. I get several text reminders about the appointment so I know it's in the system for the day and time. Friday on my way there, about twenty minutes before the appointment, I get a text message telling me that there was a family emergency and the person (?) Doing the service would not be able to make it by 10 and if I could reschedule. I had other commitments for the day and with Thanksgiving the following week and my work schedule, I wouldn't get another opportunity for at least two more weeks so I declined making any attempt to reschedule. Here's the big take away from this. It takes me about 30 minutes to get there. Add a extra 10-15 minutes for a cushion and that 20 minute leeway meant that I was already almost there. I completely understand that things happen last minute and unexpectedly but by this time I already had time and expenses invested in actively traveling to the business just to turn around and go back home. Everyone's time is important and if there was any possibility of a earlier cancellation then that needs to be done accordingly. I am almost certain if the roles were reversed, the expectation would be the same. I don't believe I am being overly critical because I have dealt with other individuals and/or businesses where things happen but personal time is respected and first time services don't go like this. If it would have been just one "bump in the road" so to speak, I would not have any problems. However three problems, over the course of three weeks to schedule a paying service, with a business that I have never been to nor have any working relationship with, is some what of a red to me."
