"We got an order of wings for take out and got home and the wing order was wrong. The Customer service when we called to see if it could be fixed or refunded was pretty bad to say the least. After we told the girl what happened she just said I don’t know what you want me to do about it. Then the owner got on and said the person who wrote the ticket didn’t see it and they would give a side of the sauce that was supposed to be on them if we came back to get it. After telling them that is not the same or really what we paid for he said he would take the same wings re -toss them in sauce. The wings that would be by the end of this be stone cold driving them all the way back there. They were completely unhelpful and on top of that problem we didn’t get any sides of blue cheese that we were charged extra for."
"My family went out tonight for the first time there, the music and vibe was great, the atmosphere was great and welcoming. We will be making this a regular family outing."

"My Wife and I went to eat lunch at The Deacons's Bench recently on a Saturday. Unfortunately we did not eat there because we never got served. It was around 1:00 PM. We went in the front door and saw no waitstaff. There was one table in the back of the first room with people . We then went to the bar area were most of the seating at the bar was occupied. We sat down at a table near the bar. There was no employee behind the bar. We waited for 3 minutes and then the bartender came out of the back. We waited a couple of more minutes but were never acknowledged. Then we just got up and left. I understand it is hard to staff food service positions but to be ignored for 5 minutes was too much for me. Hopefully this was a one time incident."
"First time here. Cool little corner bar. Great service and the food was excellent. Especially the wings. If you’re in Johnson City and just want a cool place to hangout with good bar food then check out the Deacons Bench."
