Monterey Pub

"Small pub food with a great atmosphere. It really reminds me of an Irish or British small local pub where, if you sit at the bar, you'll end up talking to the other patrons and to the bartenders. The 2 bartenders were friendly, kind, professional, and it was a pleasure to see them make the cocktails; one in particular, it was obvious was extremely capable and liked making cocktails because she kept smelling the liquors and making sure the final product was good. We were here on a Saturday around 6:15pm and the tables were all taken but there were a few stools available at the bar and I'm glad we ended up sitting here because we had fun and socialized in a very "pub way". We ordered fish and chips and a smash burger; the fries were delicious, the fried fish was tender and light, and the smash burger comes with 2 patties making it very satisfying. We got a Guinness and a Red Ale but I also ordered the cocktail (the Taz[...]raaaaar or something) and it was delicious, I could have drunk a few more ugh. Prices are fair, the cocktail could have been considered expensive at 12$ but considering all that was in it and how masterfully made it was, the price is absolutely fair. We didn't want to leave and we'll definitely go back."

"So nice we had to stop by twice! We were staying in the area and came in for a quick pint. The servers were very nice and service was quick. They were playing really good psych rock music too. We had such a positive experience we came back for dinner that night and were not disappointed! My boyfriend was extremely pleased with the fish and chips. Fast and friendly service, good food, great atmosphere. What more could you ask for?"
