"Referred my mother to him because I had inquired and enjoyed his services in the past however that will never happen again nor would I ever recommend nor refer anyone to him in the future. I was horrified to hear of my mother’s recent experience with him. He was extremely unprofessional & rude to my mother who felt slighted by his services & had a horrible attitude throughout her appointment. When my mother who drove from Boston & tried to explain to him how difficult it was to find parking in his new & unkept location he just shrugged her off as if she didn’t matter nor her concerns. As a man & someone in customer service to be so rude to an older woman who was initially excited to get their hair with him shows lack of character, integrity & professionalism. The installation of the hair was also horrible & botched. So disheartening & disappointing."

"I called this salon in hopes of securing a new salon home to get my locs done. I called them last week on Wednesday to try to get my hair done that same week, but the receptionist said it would not be until next week. I received the confirmation text message a couple of days before my appointment, and was excited to go to the salon. Due to my childcare arrangements, I called like an hour and a half before my appointment telling them that "I may be 10 or 15 mins late," and they were nice about it and said it was fine. However, I actually ended up getting there on time (despite showing up at the wrong salon because they moved and didn't update their address on Google); a female stylist told me she would be with me "shortly" after she finished this other client's hair. Mind you, I was scheduled to have Jerry do my hair. The salon from the outside looks like a dive, but on the inside it was pretty decent. As I'm waiting, Jerry was just walking around on his phone, playing musical chairs, watching tv, and never really acknowledged me. Nothing. So I'm already not impressed with his professionalism, and I'm overall not feeling the unenthusiastic, "who cares about your time" vibe. The female stylist took a solid 45 to 50 mins just to throw some Xhibit braids into the other client's head to go under her wig. I'm literally falling asleep because she was taking so long, Judge Judy was boring and they didn't really have the AC on (mind you it was 98 degrees out). After an hour wait, the stylist was finally ready for me; she gave me a really good wash, but when she sat me in the chair and started using a comb to retwist my locs and clips to hold it into place was when I should have said I'm all set and left. Despite her twisting method not being the best and trying to take a shortcut on styling my hair like I wanted, my hairstyle did not come out as horrible as I thought it did. The stylist was really cool and thoughtful, I just do not believe that they should hold themselves out for doing locs (at least if she is the person doing them). I personally will not go back based on how I felt my hair came out for the amount of money paid and Jerry's lack of professionalism. But to end on a positive note, Jerry does know how to install weaves really well because one girl walked in looking like "put your [Coronavirus] mask back on" to "girlllll, you better get it.""

"I went to Jerry’s for the first time yesterday and I can definitely say it was a great experience. Jerry made me very comfortable and knew exactly how I wanted my extensions put in. Him and the lady at the desk when you walk in we’re so welcoming. My hair has not looked this good with my extensions in a while. I will definitely be returning back. Thank you Jerry!"

"Jerry is very personable. I go bi-weekly without any scheduling conflicts. There is a receptionist that could assist with assuring your scheduling needs are met. I have been with Jerry since 2013. I moved from Chicago and thought I would never find another stylist in the New England area. Thank God Jerry is here. Precision in both cut and curl is rare, but Jerry has it. As long as I live in the New England area I will continue to patronize Jerry's Salon. The new renovations are beautiful. You can get all your beauty needs met here, from hair, pedicure, manicure, eyebrows, and anticipating arrival of massages. What more could you ask for from one business, I am not sure if there is anything else. When you leave you will be PLEASED......"

"Jerry is amazing and does nothing but great on my hair but he's TERRIBLE with scheduling ! You will ask him to schedule you at 10am then you walk in and see 3-4 other people waiting to get their hair done. Its very annoying and very unprofessional. One time I came in at 10am and didn't get my STARTED till 3pm. Yes hes a very good stylist but if you don't want to wait a lonngg time then you should take your business somewhere else."
