Yeah, this place didn't exactly live up to their mission in my case. I attended "Camp Friendship" when I was 11. I won't get into the details, but there was a severely mishandled situation involving me and another camper that has mentally scarred me for years. It unnecessarily made me a pariah in the eyes of the other campers, and I was ostracized for the rest of my time there. The counselors did the best they could, given the circumstances. I will say this about the Center for Psychology and Counseling: they will try to help you to the best of their ability. And that is what makes them so disappointing: they have very little ability. Shockingly little. It's actually surprising to me. They honestly want to help people, but they're incapable of doing so. All of the intentions are there, but none of the talent or skill needed to follow through on those good intentions. I would never seriously consider coming here for psychological help, and I highly recommend others decide likewise. If you want psychological help, go to Southampton Psychiatric Associates. The staff there are excellent, and I've been working with them for most of my life."
