OB/GYN 521 Mount Pleasant Drive, Scranton, PA 18503

"I have been coming here for 25 years, since Yavorek. No one there has been as great as her, but out of loyalty and convenience I stayed. It's a very impersonal office as others have stated, and you aren't officially welcomed until you are called and see your nurse. But I stayed and went through Tomasoni, Caesar and now Behlke. I called recently for a surprise 5th pregnancy and was told I could not make an appointment until a previous miscarriage ultrasound had been paid in full. It's a couple hundred dollars and I pleaded if I could pay in installments and was told no. It needs to be full she said. I was dismissed and given a number "to the clinic." She really called it exactly that, "the clinic." Smh. It just feels like a massive slap in the face after being with them for so long. I'm actually pretty sad about it. I managed to find another ob in Clarks Summit that seems a better place to be thank God, but this whole situation just left a bad taste in my mouth."

"This is my first pregnancy , and every nurse besides one, was and still is extremely rude to me every time I call for a question. I should feel comfortable calling them , and they make me feel stupid . They always have an attitude! No one is happy to see you when you check in for an appointment . They hate their jobs and show it! I will like to add that the drs are extremely nice and helpful! This does not reflect any of the drs there! They are all helpful! And caring! But dealing with the nurses will make me rethink having another pregnancy with this facility."

"I had an excellent OBGYN (Dr. Phillips), I never thought I would ever want a different doctor after her however trying to see her has been a NIGHTMARE! I called in February of 2022 to try and schedule with her and was told she was too booked out and to call April 1st. So I called on April 1st got an appointment for end of July. A month before my appointment they cancelled it because of hospital scheduling so I was rescheduled to September. Just today my appointment was cancelled Again! This was the last straw for me, you could literally die from ovarian or cervical cancer waiting to see her. My daughter has been with the Geisinger health system almost her entire life and I can say I have already switched within an hour of them cancelling on me again to Geisinger, wish I had done it sooner! I can also say Moses Taylor Baby Hospital has a lot to be desired. I had a c-section and left a day before I was supposed to because the nursing staff after you have your baby is horrible, if I wanted more children I would never have anymore at Moses just from that experience. Sadly I have also worked for CHS in the past and I can tell you, you probably wouldn’t want to go to any of their facilities once you’ve worked in one. Quiting was one of the most satisfying experiences for me."

"This is the first “negative review” I have ever written online. EVER. My wife has had excellent OBGYN care from Dr. Phillips (literally world class). We have no intention of changing providers for this reason alone. So why the 2 stars? Glad you asked: we just had our third child and when my wife called and scheduled her post-natal appointment they told her she could not bring her newborn to the appointment?!? Why? Answer: COVID. So now the doctor who has been walking my wife through her pregnancy does NOT get to meet the baby and we either have to find expert child care for a baby who will be only one month old, or I have to take off work to make it work. How is this pro-baby? How is this helping mom’s be a mother? Separating them almost literally at birth? It’s not common sense medicine."

"The nurses and most of the doctors are absolutely wonderful. The only thing I have an issue with, is when I make an appointment for a certain day, and they reschedule that appointment without consulting with you. It is constantly occurring, and it's an inconvenience to constantly see my scheduled appointments moved to a different day without knowledge."
