"I was given a bottle opener making class for christmas. It was $125 for a 4 hour class and you leave with 2 bottle openers. The class is run by Craig, who owns the business, but he had a friend, Andy, to help for the class of size 8 today. Craig has dry humor, makes everyone comfortable, and starts the bottle opening class with standup hour about silly people that don't know how much anvils ought to cost. He is unashamedly business savvy, and discussed his thrifty finds over the years. It should have been awkward but people were smiling due to the delivery of the tales from his escapades. The class first goes through safety, then he shows how to make a bottle opener, then the teachers help you make one, and finally you make one yourself. By the end you do feel like blacksmithing is more approachable than you felt when you started. It's pricey, but if it's in your price range it's a great gift or outing. There are also knife making classes as a follow up, or you can make your wedding rings here out of a patented demascus steel process Craig has."

"I flew in from Boston to make my ring with my fiance. We had an amazing time with Craig! We started the day with an outline of what to expect which really helped us picture the process. Making the ring was enjoyable and easy with the instructions and guidance. Craig was super friendly, a fantastic videographer/photographer, and bought us pizza for lunch. Mario Kart N64 was a bonus too! We had a great time from start to finish and would highly recommend the barefoot forge if you are looking to make your dream ring!"

"Participated in the beginner blacksmithing class making bottle openers and had a seriously fun time! The instructor, Craig Cowan, was high energy and very informative able to answer any questions a beginner or expert might have on metalworking. This class is something anyone can sign up for, regardless of experience, and have a good time. You’ll come away with some basic knowledge in blacksmithing, some cool handmade bottle openers, and way more information about anvils than you’ll ever need. 10/10!"

"I attended the bottle opener class at the Barefoot Forge and absolutely loved it! I am not a creative person and have never thought about taking a blacksmithing class before, but Craig and his team were able to walk me through, step-by-step, so I would be able to complete the project with ease. Craig was absolutely hilarious in all his explanations and all the instructors were very knowledgeable. If you are looking for a fun idea for a class, even with zero experience, you should definitely sign up for one of these classes!"
