As a Brow Skyn Girl customer you never have to open the door yourself. When you arrive to the salon, G opens the door for you and always welcomes you w/a smile. "PMU BEWARE PMU BEWARE PMU BEWARE As a small business owner, I really don't like writing bad reviews, however, here we are.... As a small business owner, we pride ourselves on our customer service, It is the customers that make or break you. I found this business on a google search in the area I live in (Southern MD). I was excited to find the services in my area as well as to support another black owned business. The first appointment I made was for a regular brow lamination. Once I arrived I was made aware my brows were not a good candidate for this particular service. No money was refunded, I was offered I guess the basic service where the brows are just "filled in"; a service, I am sure is not as costly as the one booked for.... I didn't complain. Not to mention the work performed was sub-par but I figured it was because it was done by apprentice (my word). I have become a pro and perfectionist when it comes to my brows, so I didn't need anyone to draw them on, I am very capable, however I was looking for a more permanent solution. Moving forward, I booked the nano blading service with the owner, I was very excited. All the work or pictures on the website seemed very professional, done by experienced techs. The day of my appointment (June 19, 2023), the process began, however, I sensed some difficulty with the outlining of my brows. After about an hour or so, I offered to draw them myself, this request was granted. At this point I am getting anxious and the realization of that this tech is not experienced is setting in.... All I can do is pray for the best at this point. As I stated before, I completed the outline of my brows for tattooing, unfortunately once she was complete, she had not followed the outlined provided. Pressed for time, I asked if I could come back prior to the second session to "fix" my brows. She informed me she'd prefer to wait until the follow up session for any revisions. Ok, so the follow up session was to be set for August, per the tech/owner. Well, August came and went... I inquired about the appointment and was never directly contacted, instead I receive a text blast in September, notifying ALL customers that the books were open for appointments, but all PMU clients would get an email for follow up appointments....SO I WAIT. Nope, nothing. I get another text blast about the appointment availability for October, "well this can’t be for me".... I was supposed to get an email. I then texted again, this time requesting a refund. DING, DING, bells went off and I get a call. During the call I was asked if I was satisfied with the initial service, my answer was NO! The outline I provided was not followed and I paid for the nano service and there is not a nano in sight! The owner/tech offered to find a tech that would perform the follow up service. It had been two weeks since I last spoke with her, and her response was "I can't make people respond"; kinda like oh well. Even if she didn't offer a full refund, something would've been a show of some type of "good faith" customer service. Knowing 100% that I was not satisfied with the initial service, inability to complete work properly, failure to find replacement (as offered) tech for follow-up session; not one penny was offered. I was only told, "I am still a beginner which is why my prices are low". Please note, there is no disclaimer of level of experience on the website. Once it was established, she would not complete service and or was unable to find a replacement, I was removed from the member text list (which was perfectly fine) but the same energy should've been used to find a resolve. I am highly disappointment! Still searching for an experienced tech for follow."
