"Took about three hours to fix / finish what I was told was “the best he could do”. I gave him a brand new pair of red wing iron rangers to put a vibram heavy lug sole on. When I received them the first time, there were gaps between the mid sole and vibram around the whole thing. The outsole, midsole, and welt were not flush whatsoever and In one spot, the outsole was sticking out 1/8 of an inch!!! Call me a perfectionist, but when a brand new pair of boots come back in a worse state than I left them in, it warrants me never going back. Got them back for a second time today and I can’t even tell what he did. Took some super glue and rubber dust to fill the gaps then hit it with my drum sander and buffed the mid sole and welt with some tokonole. NOW they look like what I expected from a professional cobbler. Just not sure why this guy couldn't take the extra time to finish the job. Waste of $120 This review is coming from a luthier / furniture maker. Maybe I’m a perfectionist but, if I let something leave my shop with imperfections that could be fixed with some patience, I’d expect to lose some business too."
