Dim Sum Garden

"At first I did not know what to expect, but I was so happy we stood. First off it was a Thursday around 4pm and this place was already full of people coming in and out. As we sat down and looked at the menu they had many delicious options. They even have dumplings to go frozen. The orders of rice and meats are biiig! My boys are rice eaters so we ordered 2 fried rice, they are shareable portions. We had the vegetable fried rice and the beef fried rice. We were with a group so we had some dumplings, spring rolls (tasted too much like pickled garlic), general tso chicken, crispy chicken and shrimp and brocolli. Oh and chicken on a stick with fries. Everything, i mean EVERYTHING was delicious!!!!!! Im very picky with my food and honestly this was so good. The crispy chicken was CRUNCHY and packed with flavor. The general tso chicken, so yummy!! The rice with some of the dumpling sauce on top (not sure if its soy sauce) hit the spot. I will definitely be back!"

"Atmosphere: 0.5/1: Neon sign outside malfunctioning. Inside minimal decorations. Bathrooms could use a makeover. Nothing fancy, but at least seemed clean. Service: 0.5/1: staff was nice initially. Service wasn’t anything out of this world. Never introduced herself. Just took our order and brought it along with occasional water refill. I wasn’t blown away with the service and to make matters worse the server at the end FORCED me to leave 18% tip. Saying “why would she bring me back change if the change was the whole 18% tip”…. I couldn’t believe this. If this is the way the restaurant runs then 18% tip should be included as part of the meal price. Price: 1/1: Prices are average, although I feel like it could have been $1-$2 cheaper per plate. Remember it’s cash only, but ATM at the entrance. Food: 1/2: The pork soup dumplings, shrimp/pork siu mai, beef fried dumplings were average. The pork bun meat was dry. The taro boba tea was at least good. Overall: 3/5: I believe the place is overhyped and will not be returning (specially after the service I received). But if you decide on going at least try the taro boba tea."

"If you have not tried Chinese Dim Sum, this is the place to experience it. There are several restaurants in Philly Chinatown that serves Dim Sum, but this is our go-to place. All dumplings are freshly made in-house. So some of the dishes may require 15-20 wait for it to be properly steamed or fried. Clearly, some of the wait staff may not be as fluent in English as they are with Mandarin or Cantonese. So please be understanding of this. The place is usually very busy, and may need to be patient on drinks and food. Also, be sure to bring cash, as this they only take cash. However, there is a ATM inside the entrance of the restaurant, just in case."

"LOVE their soup dumplings especially the Crab & Pork Soup Dumplings!! The Hot & Sour Soup is good too—big portion and well flavored. They only accept cash here, but there is an ATM outside."

"Really great place to eat dimsum cash only though they have an ATM in the front that charges a 2$ fee but it was worth it, I ordered pan fried beef dumplings, pan fried pork and nappa, spicy spicy pork soup dumplings and the pumpkin cakes all met my expectations well. Atmosphere was good restroom was clean."
