"A wonderful old theater. Staff was helpful and friendly. Theater is lovely. Show (we saw The Fantasticks) was wonderful. This was our New Year's Eve date and it was a great way to start the night."
"We visited the Sedgwick / Quintessence to see Mary Poppins earlier this month. What a fantastic show in a beautiful space. I'm thrilled that this space is still used as a theater. My earliest memories of it were from visiting during history camp the Germantown Historical Society. It's an absolute gem, and I hope it's here for years to come."
"The performance of Little Women, the musical, was thoroughly engaging! I have never before been so totally focused on a performance from start to finish! My friend found it to be "riveting." And ..the seats were comfortable; staff are always welcoming and helpful. This is a consistently wonderful theater company. Also, it is in a historic old movie theater."
"Just visited this theater for the first time, for the show My Fair Lady. An old theater, but the staff, theater "character", and all actors were great! Greeted with an enthusiastic hello and welcome at the will call desk! Beverages and snacks were available before the show and also during intermission. The theater itself had a center stage and open seating on each side, holding about 60 or so people per side. Music throughout the production provided by two (dueling) pianos hidden at each end of the stage. Finally, all actors were great, but 5 stars for Eliza Doolittle, played by Leigha Kato, and Henry Higgins, played by Gregory Isaac. Each delivered their lines with ease, Leigha Kato superbly transitioned from the Flower Girl to the Lady. Her singing voice, for all of those famous songs, was amazing. Despite the aging theater, the show came alive with great energy, singing, and acting. Would recommend and I plan return for another show!"
