"DO NOT RENT. They renewed my rent for another year & increased my rent without even notifying me. I had to wait a year to move out. In November I began moving some of my belongings to my new place. I paid December's rent, since I was forced into another year long lease ending in December. I was living at the new place but went back occasionally to fix it up and grab more belongings. I did not go back to this apartment for several weeks. When I went back to the apartment it was very obvious that somebody had been in there. The front door was still locked upon our arrival. The windows were locked. But all of the drawers were emptied and the contents were thrown on the ground. The cabinets were ransacked. All of our nonperishable food was stolen. Other things were taken too. Dishes were smashed. Somebody brought a huge pink bucket/tub into the apartment (we had never seen it before). Somebody began putting all of our belongings into this bucket. The entire place smelled strongly of Marajuana. They had already cut the power to our apartment, a week into December, after were had already paid them for our December rent and utilities!! Somebody with a key must have done this (maintenance guy, landlord, property management), because the apartment was 100% locked when we last left, and it was locked when we returned, there is also double door entry which required two different keys. We didn't feel safe that somebody was just letting themselves into the apartment that we were paying to rent. We sent many pictures to the property management of the disaster, saying how we would'nt return because we didn't feel safe. We only were able to reach the property management once, to which they told us that it was not them who came into the apartment. Who else has a key? They ignored ALL of our calls for about 4-5 weeks, would not call us back, &sent us a bill for an ABSURD amount, claiming damages and cleaning of the apartment (from the "break in"). It was obviously an employee who accessed my apartment. And why shut the power off to an apartment that somebody is currently paying to rent?? Just because they haven't been there for a few weeks? If you need something I guarantee they will not call you back. They will not help you. Horrible property management."
