"My boyfriend and I do weekly date nights on Thursday night, and tonight we tried this restaurant for the first time. We LOVED this place. The atmosphere was great with fun music at a perfect volume and festive holiday decorations. I am not an expert in mexican food, but the food was phenomenal. We split the mexican street corn and the pico & guac flight with regular pico de gallo, chili and lime guacamole, and candied bacon guacamole. We separately ordered the chicken tinga tostadas and the street tacos (two with brisket and one with steak). Every single item was insanely delicious, even down to the house made corn chips and strawberry lemonade. Our waitress was very sweet, accommodating, and attentive. We will be marking this spot as one of our favorite Mexican restaurants and we can’t wait to be back. Do not skip this restaurant!"

Lac Nhan Phan Mai:

"2 faces, 2 restaurant. Classic american by day and mexican by night. I'm not an expert with mexican kitchen, but i really enjoyed the food. It was tasty, light and delicious. The only point would have been to have some bread with the shrimp appetizer to eat with the delicious sauce. Service was done by the boss. And not too many guests so all good and not too noisy. One of my fav places in Madison."

"Not the experience I thought I would get after reading all the reviews. The chicken mango Chile pico was burnt and the rice tasted like a minute microwave bag, the chicken tinga nachos were dry, and the chicken tortilla soup had zero flavor. The mango jalapeño guac was great, the portions were large, and the plating was nice. The atmosphere was also very nice in the restaurant. We went in around 10 minutes after opening and there wasn’t a single customer to come in until 630. Not worth the price whatsoever."

"Wanted to try the New Mexican menu and glad we did. The rubbed pork chop was so juicy, one of the best I ever had. Guacamole was fresh and so tasty. Nice atmosphere and the owner is always around to check on everything. Will be back for sure !"
