"As a two-year resident of Chestnut Hill Tower, I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment and to provide an honest account of the persistent issues I've faced. While the rent might appear competitive, it's imperative for potential residents to understand the significant drawbacks. The management's approach has been consistently problematic. My recent experience attempting to transfer to a different apartment is a testament to this. A verbal agreement regarding the rental price and discount, made in good faith with the staff, was later blatantly disregarded by the management. They insisted on having written proof of an agreement that was never documented, reflecting a disturbing lack of integrity and professionalism. This incident is not isolated; it's part of an ongoing pattern of miscommunication and unfulfilled promises. Moreover, the building's older infrastructure has led to severe maintenance issues. I've personally suffered from multiple closet floods, causing considerable damage to my belongings. These events highlight the building's inadequate maintenance and the management's failure to address such critical issues promptly. The inconvenience and damage caused go beyond mere discomfort, raising serious questions about the building's habitability. The lower rental rates at Chestnut Hill Tower come at a high price - a price of enduring unprofessional management and living in a building plagued with maintenance problems. The savings on rent are completely overshadowed by the constant stress and frustration of dealing with these unresolved issues. This review is intended to inform and caution potential renters. It's essential to consider not just the financial aspects but also the reliability and accountability of the building management, as well as the physical state of the property. Based on my prolonged and disheartening experience, Chestnut Hill Tower is a place where the allure of affordability is significantly marred by the reality of its shortcomings."

"I have not lived at CHT, but I just withdrew my application. Here’s why: I toured on 12/28 and applied on 12/29 (which includes paying a non-refundable $75), but I never heard back. Suspicious, I checked these Google reviews, revisited the complex to get a better feel for the property, and asked current tenants about their experience. From there, I decided to withdraw my application. Many of the reviews and tenant comments were either a) concerning, and/or b) reminiscent of my own less-than-stellar experience thus far. Based upon that experience and the dingy hallways with poor lighting, I decided to withdraw my application. That said, if you can get past the application process and the low-quality hallways, the landscaping is well kept and the units seem well cared for."

"I moved into the towers at the end of August and have been having the best living experience of my life! Beautiful view, quiet floor with nice neighbors, friendly helpful staff, safe place to live and fully renovated apartment. I have had no leaks or maintenance issues thus far. I’m super happy to be living here!!"

"Quite literally the worst renting experience I've ever had. They have TERRIBLE management here who ignore your calls, complaints, don't communicate with each other and treat you rudely. Move in experience was awful and confusing, the hallways smell like trash, the elevators are slow, there are constant leaks in our apartment, and there is CONSTANT construction going on. My roommates and I are students and we can't even study in the comfort of our own home without the sound of drilling and hammering interrupting us. Not one person warned us this was going to happen. Even though our apartment is supposedly fully renovated there are multiple malfunctioning appliances, sinks that won't drain, and again LEAKS. Whenever there is a leak it is not treated with urgency but rather an afterthought. Don't spend your money here."

"---Stressful, dead-end application--- Our story is similar to a few other reviews on Google regarding their application process. My partner and I applied to live here in early May 2023 after touring and falling in love with the space at this apartment building. We paid the $75 per person application fee and went through the background check and hard credit check. We then waited six weeks to hear back. During this time we called at least a dozen times to follow up on the application. On the rare times we did get through to someone, we were put on hold and hung up on, or were told we'd get a call back and never received one. We finally started asking for a refund for our application fee - this involved getting hung up on one more time before we reached someone who chose to help us. We were both able to get our refunds back in mid-June, and the person who helped us was apologetic and communicative. But this process pushed back our moving process significantly, and honesty, made us really sad because we really wanted to live here. If you are applying and are low on funds or are in a rush to move, I wouldn't recommend it. The experience was upsetting and stressful."
