"They need to seriously train their cashiers and staff better. There was 3 lanes open, 2 were "15 items or less" a couple got in the express lane with...no lie, over 8 bags worth of small groceries. I counted over 40 items and many more were already in their cart. Why do you have an •express lane and a •cashier/worker if your worker isn't going to do their job and tell that couple to go to a regular line. Then when we had 4 items and the elderly lady in line had 1 item, and many more guest had to wait almost 10 minutes in an "express lane" to cash out. So you either tell the jerks who tried to screw everyone over to "go to the other lane" and maybe make the rule breakers mad.... and stick by the signs stated. Or, you let then get away with it and screw over and upset multiple groups of people behind them who were following the rules. When it comes down to it. Stick to the rules. Tell the people they can't be in the express lane and if it makes them mad, at least it didn't hurt all the numerous people behind them who are doing the right thing. Just one example of how a better trained staff would help the guest experience be more fair and pleasurable. I'll stick to wegmans."

"You may want to consider finding new cashiers. They take a job knowing people grocery shop, but scowl and roll their eyes at people who actually shop for a family and not an individual and might have a loaded cart. Never will return to this tops again. Worst experience and kind of embarrassing when they stand there , and whisper to themselves and cashiers next to them. Do better."

"Prices are usually more than any other store, very often I get home to find out something wasn't stored right, maybe even signs of product tampering, and far too often items are expired."

"Update did our shopping in the evening. At 9 pm. No cashiers, self checkout only. 500 worth of groceries. I'm 76 my partnet is the same. We're not doing self checkout when the store reports it's open till 12 am. There should be folks available for customers not buying just milk or beer and snacks. I don't want to work at Tops. I want to shop and get my items and go home. My life is busy enough."
