"Buyer beware. Two non-uniformed, dirty young men showed up in a rusty non-labeled van with no tools. They looked at the furnace and stated the thermostat was not working and such time my wife told them they had to reinstall the furnace door over the door switch in order to work. The unit came on. After 3 minutes they stated the gas valve was not working and charged $120. They left to go back to “the office” to work up a price. In the mean time a reputable HVAC company (I called three) as I wanted a second opinion and in ten minutes he had the furnace up and working. Rearranged thermostat wires and was on his way. Justice and Tobin (Reed’s star service people) later stated that the $120 represented travel fees and there was no charge to diagnose. Total SCAM."
"I recently had an outside faucet replaced. 15 minutes into the job they left to get needed parts. They were gone 25 minutes. Then while installing the faucet they broke it and had to go to replace it. The whole job took less than an hour and I was charged 2 hours labor at $120 an hour. A job that should have cost less than $200 cost me $325. I'll be careful next time."
