"I can highly recommend Antara Desai as a Physical Therapist (PT) who is an excellent listener, an outstanding therapist, and a compassionate healer. I needed PT for each of my knees at different times over the past three years. At first, I was dreading PT based on the painful experiences of family and friend’s PT. I heard over and over that PT was short for “physical torture" so I was worried. From the moment I walked into Antara’s home office, I felt a sense of calmness and serenity, like stepping into a high-end spa. No waiting in a lobby with lots of strangers and feeling rushed in and out. You are the only patient there and you are the complete focus of her attention. Antara follows Covid protocols of taking temperature, masking, and hand sanitizing so I felt completely comfortable. She spends significant time with you during each visit, listens extensively to your symptoms, asks excellent questions, and designs her treatment to address your specific issues. Her philosophy is not to inflict pain but to gradually build up muscles through gentle exercise to regain function. She provides videos for exercises that are performed at home in between visits and she responds quickly to emails with questions or concerns. As a result of her treatment, I’m able to walk again without pain. I’ve recommended Antara to friends and they were also quite happy with their treatment. Antara helped with issues pertaining to my endometriosis - anything ranging from referred pain in my legs to digestion issues. One of the best things about working with Antara is she treats the whole body, not just one issue.
