"Had an appointment at the end of January 2023, for my income taxes to be done. The woman who did my taxes was pleasant. When it came time to pay for my taxes to be prepared I wasn't prepared for the outrageous price. It was going to cost approximately $550. I was like wow. And just decided to pay with my refund. Received all paperwork and left. A few days later I received an email on how h&r block expertise was (survey). A few days after I expressed how outrageous the cost was the manager called back and asked questions... the one was were you told by the preparer of an approximate price due services. I said no and the manager offered to return $100 because I wasn't happy and it's a requirement of the preparer to do that. I said great , she said you will receive in 2-3 weeks in the mail.. that was end of February. Called beginning of week and said haven't received anything., left call back info for manager to call back and 3 days later no response and no check. Never going back to h&r block and I have been a loyal customer for 20 years whether online or in person. Not recommending again."
