"Scheduled an appointment with Jay a month and a half prior to getting my half sleeve done, he got me booked and as soon as I went it he had the to finish the sketch and then it was go time. He has a very steady hand and will keep going as long as you don’t stop. Will definitely be going back there many times."

"First timer here. Have been wanting to get a tattoo for many years, just didnt have the courage to do it. I could never get a consistent assessment of the pain. What was it like? How bad was it? This year, I decided...this is going to be the year! I dont care I am doing it. So I set out to find out what to do next. I consulted some of my friends who had tats done in the local area. One of my friends told me about a place in Harrisburg. He said he goes there all the time and they are top notch. Horrible experience. Artist no showed consultation appt., rescheduled and he was 40 mins late bc "he couldnt find his keys". Remember that uneasy feeling I told you about? Well, now its really back. I cant trust someone who cant find their keys to put something permanent on my body. What if he forgets what he is doing? I talked to a few other friends and found out some of them had a common artist they worked with. I was a little hesitant. Why? Well, one friend, his tats look cartoony, but the other friend...her's looked decent. So I figured I would go and find out for myself. I make an appt. and head in. The artist was super cool. He was very easy to work with, on time and made me feel comfortable. He discussed with me what I wanted done and how the process is. He gave me a good feeling. Heres a first timer, that doesnt know anything and is having trepidations. And this dude is making you feel like everything is going to be A-OK. Just what I was looking for. I showed him the designs. I asked if he could replicate them exactly, one I designed myself in Photoshop. He assured me...absolutely. I did express concern because of that one friend with the cartoony look. He told me that wont happen with these. Ok. I put my deposit down. Well, he couldnt deliver. The art was NOT what I wanted. It had the cartoony look. He tells me "hes not the artist for me" but refuses to refund my deposit. Fast forward to finding Jay Skinz on Instagram. I looked over his art and just about fell out of my chair. It was AMAZING! He is a true artist. I knew I needed to reach out, but was afraid this guy would be totally booked up and/or be out of my price range. We discussed what I wanted, he gave me a fair price and assured me he could deliver. When it was time to review the art, it was everything I had been wanting! I got my first tattoo on 9/2/20. Jay's shop is IMMACULATE. It has a great vibe and high quality everything. Sometimes these shops look a little dingy or downright dirty. This one looked like I was comfortable eating my dinner off his floor. Jay was patient and explained the process in the detail. He reassured me everything was going to be ok. Not in that patronizing way. Not in that fake way. But in a genuine warm hearted, he could sympathize way. I laid down and we began. Jay said he was going to do a small line first, so I could experience the pain. He told he was finished. And I told him to stop playn! I heard the device, but I didnt feel it. He laughed. It was done and he told me to go look in the mirror. There it was. My first tattoo! LOL!! A little black line. Jay celebrated like we had just graduated high school. Three hours later, he was done and I didnt just have a tattoo on my arm...I had a TRUE work of art. I couldnt have asked for a better experience, a better artist and a better piece of art. My next appt. is already booked with Jay and I cant wait to see what masterpiece he creates next! Thank you for taking such good care of me Jay.
