"I have used the services of BAK years ago since she has an office in the neighborhood but based on her imperious behavior as a neighbor I would never ever use her services again. I can highly recommend another accounting firm in Frederick, Beverly Moulden. I watched as BAK's husband chain sawed the neighbor's peach tree. I went over afterward and sat under the tree and expressed my gratitude for it's bounty and the peaches that are widely shared with all who come by. You can tell a lot about this business by the way that they handle community relationships with homeowners even though they rent the business office. I hope that BAK retires and a more neighborly business takes it's place."

"I’ve never used her accounting service but this is based on a few limited interactions with her in person while spending time at the residence next door and in the neighborhood. I live a few blocks away and my family and I have several friends on the block surrounding the business as well as spend time at the park across from the business. I witnessed her using a bike lock on a gate to her neighbors property in order to try and curtail people from entering the property. At no time was there a discussion on the matter with the owner, just woke up one day to find a u-bike lock on the gate. I’ve spent many hours enjoying the property next door to her business along with dozens of friends and family from the neighborhood. Last year, literally dozens of families were able to enjoy the bounty of peaches from the tree that this woman decided to cut down. Just like the bike lock on the gate, there was no discussion about the peach tree causing problems with her parking area. There is another from the neighbors property that overhangs the parking lot as well but this one wasn’t trimmed and she made no mention of it when the owner asked why she was cutting the peach tree with no communication. Neither tree restricted parking in the lot. There was no consideration for the health of the tree when it was pruned and the callous disregard for the health of the tree while pruning has left it clinging to life and likely not going to make it. During the hack job, the owner pleaded with her and her husband to prune with a purpose and not to cut indiscriminately since that would be catastrophic for the trees health. This business exists in a community it doesn’t care for and the owner has no regard for any of the residents of this community. She has not taken the time to get to know any of them and acts with impunity and disregard for anyone but herself. On the handful of occasions I’ve encountered her, she has never returned a friendly hello greeting I share as I walk my dog, often with my wife and daughter. The only time she has ever spoken to me is when I was cleaning up after my dog and needed some assistance from some cardboard I pulled out of her recycle bin. While I was bent over in the process of cleaning up dog poop, she said ‘you need to clean that up’ then walked away. You can tell as much as you need to know about a person with how they treat others and she has made it clear she has no interest in cultivating and positive or meaningful relations with members of the community she shares her business residence with. Instead she has consistently demonstrated that she lacks compassion and empathy and cares only for herself. I would never recommend doing business with a person of her demonstrated character."

"My experience with Barbara Keeny is limited to her interactions with the neighborhood in which she has her office. She shows an unbelievable level of disdain for residents, is extremely rude, and has consistently behaved in a manner that is highly unprofessional and unethical. She does not participate in dialogue with neighbors, choosing instead to act aggressively including padlocking the gate to a neighbors back yard and, without notice, brutally hacking away at a neighbors peach tree in such a way that the tree has no chance of survival...and just a matter of days before the entire neighborhood was to reap a bumper crop. Presumably it was to protect her parking lot....even though she never parks under that tree. She conveniently left the other trees that overhang the fence and provide shade...where she does park her car. What drives a person to act so selfishly and miserably toward their neighbors? I would give her a zero star review if possible."

"You can tell a lot about the character and ethics of a person by the way they treat their neighbours and I would never willingly choose to do business or recommend doing business with a neighbour who behaves in the vile and self-serving way that this one does. While other reviews point to the poor nature of the service she offers through this business, please note that she is a nightmare of a neighbour, a bully of the worst kind, and someone who would rather use passive aggression and outright aggression to communicate. In the latest act of unneighbourly nastiness, she is responsible for chopping down the majority of a tree that fed the neighbourhood for years, a tree that the owner would charitably invite the community at large to enjoy the bounty of each year. She ensured not only that this was done before the peaches could be enjoyed this year, but that is was destroyed in a way that made it clear that it was about committing a cruelty for the pleasure of and not because it was in a bit of her space"
