Bear Creek Farm Bed and Breakfast

"I spent two lovely days at Bear Creek Farm. What a beautiful home and property. The Smiths were harvesting sap and making maple syrup which was a delight to learn about. The accommodations were beautiful and clean. Just so relaxing. The food is delicious. Judy and Jerry are kind hosts. I look forward to returning with my spouse and enjoying biking in the area in the future."

"Come away to the quiet!! What a beautiful place to rest and receive refreshment. The bed and breakfast is beautiful. Each room is very private and the owners have provided everything to make the stay comfortable and restful. The breakfasts are 5 star delicious. The grounds provide lots of area to hike or sit and enjoy nature. If you are looking for a beautiful place to "get away from it all", look no further. This is it!"

"Spent 2 lovely nights in the cottage. It was exactly what we wanted, quiet, low key, impeccably clean and the setting was peaceful. The grounds are amazingly beautiful and well tended, especially considering how extensive the property is. My husband brought a few rods and happily fished for bass, sun fish and others (catch and release only) in the private pond, no license required. The linens and towels were wonderful quality. The screened porch was lovely with its wildflowers and pond view. As far as area, you are 10 minutes from a few nice parks and decent eateries and 20-30 minutes from quite a few wineries. This property itself is quiet and peaceful, not a hot spot for nightlife, and that was fine with me... So, now for the elephant in the room from some other reviews. Yes, there was some literature in the cottage that was religious. There was not much of it, and there was zero discussion or pressure from the hosts. We are not religious. It was not a problem at all...I suspect that if you wanted those discussions, the hosts would engage but it was no issue at all not to do so. Our hosts were lovely, kind people who work very hard to create a nice stay! I only have one note/suggestion and that is the TV be upgraded to a smart TV that you can cast/stream to. Lack of TV (other than a few limited, over the air , channels) was not a big issue for us but if you ended up inside for longer periods with bad weather...it would be nice to use Netflix or Amazon Prime. I think it is a small thing that travelers would appreciate. If you want peace, beauty and quiet, in a clean cute cottage, stay here!"

"We absolutely loved our stay here and look forward to when we can return! Definitely will be recommending to anyone looking to stay near Geneva, Ashtabula or Conneaut, it is in perfect location to all 3! The hosts Jerry & Judy are wonderful, warm & welcoming. You can tell they have a huge heart and passion in taking care of their guests. The breakfast is delicious, the house and rooms are spotless clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful hike around the property (2.7 miles through the woods and can see the creek) and loved sitting on the front porch and by the pond. We stayed in Susie's room and it is even more spacious than the pictures. Thank you again Jerry & Judy!"

"Jerry & Judy welcome you into their home with open arms. The home and property are immaculate & spotlessly clean. The rooms are warm and inviting. Upon entering the home you are greeted with a sign welcoming you, with Judy at the door. They are warm, kind, and gracious. The food they prepare is divine and they will sit with you after they serve you to just openly talk about anything and everything. Outside the home the landscape is beautiful with a lovely pond and fountain. It is peaceful here and the 100 acres is yours to traverse at your leisure if you so choose. The home also boasts a beautiful wrap around porch that has many rocking chairs. They also have Disc Golf for those who enjoy that. If you have any questions about the surrounding Wine Country or the Covered Bridges, just ask and they will be informative. Bob & I left making 2 new friends and hope to see them again possibly this year in the Fall but for sure we will at the very least attempt to visit them once a year."
