Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic Church and School

"Bear with me here. This school has been one of the biggest impacts of trauma in my childhood. I've only been in this school for 3 years but the abuse and carelessness of the teachers and school staff have caused everlasting damage. Essentially if you did anything that was not standing in a line perfectly or do anything that just happened to fall on a day the teachers were having a bad day, you would be in trouble. I was nitpicked on the smallest details and essentially forced on Ritalin (look up the medication and side effects) which caused me to be socially undeveloped for years."

"A school with no front desk.No one answer phones and doorbell. Small class and only one teacher per room. Nurses is NOT in school Everyday .Teachers doesn’t show how many classes he teaches. I don’t know how they got the five stars reviews."

"the school let me pay to park here Monday-Saturday at a much lower rate than city parking (donation to church really), teachers, nuns, and staff were friendly to deal with and seemed to really care about their students alot, mostly but not completely Chinese student body - it was diverse, i would recommend for sending kids given the public school option..."

"I am not liking this school what so ever. Through and through, I just feel like they're very unorganized and rude. On the first day of school, my son was put on the very first school bus to be taken home but I never signed or agreed for my son to get on any bus. I wouldn't even have known if his after school program coordinator (from outside of the school) did not call me telling me that my son was put on a bus. I tried calling the school multiple times and no answer. Every single call rang until it went straight voicemail. I had no idea where my 9 year was for an hour and a half. The school and staff disregard my concerns and didn't even bother to touch base about what even happened. Today I tried calling about my son's student ID number and I was told that only High School students have ID numbers and that the principle isn't in yet and that no one has a clue when she will be in. How is that? It felt like I was being rushed off the phone. I am surprised that I even got through to anyone. The school district told me that I had get the student ID number from my son's school and that is why I called Holy Redeemer to ask for it. I was questioned about my reasons of wanting it. I am a Parent with full custody of my child, primary care taker etc, I have every right to my child's information. But even without having the information I wanted, I was still questioned as to why I needed it. My son is brand new to the school by the way.."
