"just went there for my visit, note i’m 17 my mother makes my appointments, the first appointment goes well, we schedule next appointment the lady at the desk offers the day June 29. Me and my mother agreed we could not do this day because it’s the day before my birthday and we had plans made weeks before. We tell the lady at the desk we schedule for a day in july (today) i go into my appointment and right when i sit down he begins to bash me saying how i missed my appointment, wasted his time, he was going to charge me. I was stunned i almost cried right there. I proceeded to tell him we did not schedule that day and he continued to fight me till he met with my mother and she was on my side. Also i’m trans wanting tip surgery he asked why i wanted it and i said to feel comfortable with myself and with who i identify as and he didn’t see it as a good enough answer “it can’t just be that” uh ya it is and asking me about weight loss surgery? that’s very inappropriate of a 70 year old man to talk to a 17 year old kid about. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEY CANT EVEN SCHEDULE RIGHT AND BLAME YOUR KIDS!!!! if you can’t schedule right find a new job, your pathetic"

"Besides the office staff, I don’t believe anyone working here is qualified to treat psychological issues in any way save meeting the legal requirements. Both providers I saw (both psychology and psychiatric) were very stuck in their interpretation of my personal situation and refused to budge off that view. Second, I was explicitly criticized for considering other conditions/treatments during my time their despite my treatment not being totally effective in taking care of my mental health concerns, as well as talked down to in general. They really just want you to play dumb and treat their opinions as gospel. Highly recommend staying away, and if you can access care from an area with more competition (within Western NY this would be Orchard Park/ Buffalo, or besides that Erie PA) that would most likely help a patient much more than they are capable of here."

"I would stay away from this practice. I felt mistreated. It seemed that Dr. Verdonik didn’t think we were a good fit, but he didn’t discontinue me as a patient in a timely manner. At many of our meetings, I felt that Dr. Verdonik disliked me, and spoke to me in a very aggressive way. I have been nothing but respectful in my communications with the doctor. I suspect that he also was very irritated when I brought my father to speak with him. In addition, this office has cancelled appointments with me many times, on short notice on the night of the appointment. But I can sympathize with that as schedules can change. 1. I was accused of missing an appointment. I asked to be put on a cancellation list for an appointment. The office emailed me and called me, saying they had an appointment they could fit me in at 5:45pm on 12/08/2021. I never confirmed the appointment. Before the appointment, I informed them by email that I cannot make it. At my next appointment, Dr. Verdonik aggressively accused me and chastised me for “missing” my appointment. But this is a blatant lie, because you cannot miss an appointment that you never accepted. I have never missed an appointment at this practice, but I was falsely accused of it! 2. After that experience, I asked Dr. Verdonik if he felt that we should discontinue. He said, “no, that’s not what I’m saying…” and proceeded to give me an appointment for 01/13/2022. I had planned to attend this appointment, and confirmed the appointment the day before over email. Two hours before the appointment, I received a call from the office, saying we don’t know why you’re on the schedule, Dr. Verdonik had discontinued you as a patient. Dr. Verdonik could have made this clear much earlier."

"My loved one has been trying to fill out her intake packet for a year and a half but can’t bring herself to do it because of the nature of mental illness. I’m sure once she gets in her experience will be great, but it seems very counterproductive to insist that people who struggle with mental health fill out paperwork before being able to schedule an appointment. I understand HIPAA, but shouldn’t these questions be asked during intake, instead of expecting a person who can barely open their mail to fill out a packet so they can get help?"

"Dr. Meer and Dr. Verdonik are amazing and helpful and Determined! Their entire staff is beyond helpful. I got what I needed from day one and I am never disappointed. This is the best place to get Psychiatric help in the area by far!!! My meds are always on time, my care is top notch and the service is high. I’m always happy to come here be in person or over teleconference."
