"Jaime (no longer there) & Ashley DPT, along with numerous other DPT's, along with Amy, Joy & Joyce, & OT John, were very helpful, skillful, & knowledgeable in helping me recover from my herniated disc at L5/S1, before & after my 2 micro-discectomy surgeries. After I was released in July 2020 by Dr. Wecht, I have been going to American Back Center in Wexford, with Dr Pete Peduzzi, since Aug 2020 & I have progressed using VAX-D & their PT to level 4 & along with an enzyme between meals called Lumbrokinase to help breakup scar tissue, such that I almost have no pain at L1/L2 due to a bulging disc & at T11 due to edema. This gentle controlled pumping action of the VAX-D is not the same as traction, but is similar to the spring action of our discs when we were younger. Positive/negative pressures on the discs allow water & nutrients in & water & wastes out so disc can heal, as well as ligaments & tendons. My right foot feels stronger & I hope to soon be able to toe walk, may need a foot orthotic to straighten out 2nd & 3rd toes or I'll just tape over top of gel protectors."
