"I just signed my lease with The Arundel, and I can't help but express my appreciation for Michelle, the leasing specialist who assisted me. Her genuine patience and kindness made the entire process feel like a breeze. Michelle took the time to answer all my questions and put my mind at ease. She is fantastic!"

"I enjoyed living here for almost three years even though the place is overpriced until...MOVING OUT. They will try to gouge you for any fee they can. They don't seem to understand the concept of "normal wear and tear". Every little scratch you make, like on the refrigerator doors or stove top will be charged bogus fees of hundreds of dollars or more. The only way not to make those minute scratches is if you don't ever clean any surface and cook without moving your pots and pans. There is a pandemic going on and management is apparently out to gouge as much as they can. Absolutely shameful. I'm in the process of fighting these absurd charges and as I read through the reviews and talk to people, I realize I am far from being the only one who is getting screwed over. This may seem like a great place moving in but it becomes a terrible place moving out. DON'T RENT FROM THIS PLACE. It's not worth the hassle."

"I wish I had known that move out fees would exceed $1500. When we toured the apartment, I remember thinking "wow, it looks brand new! We must be the first people to live here!" I now realize that they replace everything at your expense to keep the apartments looking that new. I've lived in plenty of apartments with my small dogs, and I have never faced fees like this (it's usually some extra cleaning fees at most). Great apartment, but be prepared to pay for everything unless your place looks unlived-in."

"Great apartment, horrendous move out fees ($1000+). Here's a brief explanation of each fee and what you can do to avoid them (if that's even possible): - solar shades ($550) - two shades had a quarter-sized portion bitten off by the dogs at the bottom. I can think of several ways this could've been fixed for much less, but of course the logical thing to do is to replace the entire shade. I cannot believe fabric costs $550. - carpets replaced ($295) - we neglected to shampoo and vacuum the carpets; otherwise, they were in fine condition by normal wear and tear standards. - stove top replacement ($288) - using any type of metal pot and pan on a glass/ceramic stove top will cause scratching. Look at your own flat top stove top at your current residence. Are there scratches? Then you will be charged. Was there any way to not scratch this? If you don't move your pans at all while cooking, maybe. - refrigerator and freezer door dents ($448) - the fridge was positioned right next to a granite counter top and shelves with metal handles that will inevitably hit the stainless steel surface of the fridge/freezer door whenever you opened them. Never open your fridge door beyond a 90 degree angle. Also, never open your fridge door while also opening a shelf, you know, to get utensils or a plate or cooking ingredients. That would be insane that you would try to do that sequence of events while in the kitchen. - baseboard damage ($150) - we patched up some damaged portions of baseboard by ourselves (nicking with a piece of furniture or chipping with a shoe), but our patch job was not up to standards. The inspector has sharp eyes, and is well-deserving of their salary. Other notes: AC only brings the temperature to within +/- 2 degrees of the temperature you want and pumps incredibly dry air to the point where we also bought a humidifier. Small kitchen storage area. I will take time to commend the front desk workers and Isabel Johnson, the people who really stood out to me in terms of excellent service and just making my overall day brighter while interacting with them. The location is great, the surrounding food places are good. The location from Baltimore is only 20 minutes if you need to commute. If the move-out fees weren't so egregious, this would've been one of the best apartments we've lived in so far."

"Lived here over a year now. Beautiful new building in a great neighborhood. Right off of hwy 295 and less than a mile from Arundel Mills mall and Live casino, Ft. Meade. The southern management staff are very courteous and friendly. The staff and concierge is on site most of the day until late evening if you need assistance or to pick up packages. All utilities are included currently but I believe they are due to start charging for electricity soon. Climate control allows you to choose 69,71,73, or 75 degrees (wish I could choose 72, but oh well). The walls are sound proof so you don't really hear your neighbors unless someone is walking by your door in the hallway and talking loudly. New building so no problems with bugs or roaches (yet), have not seen any in my apartment since moving. The covered parking garage is a plus, spaces are getting limited since quite a few people have moved in but still a good amount left. Some of these bad reviews are unwarranted. It's a really great place to live, kind of reminds you of a luxury hotel. If you can get an apartment on the higher floors you have a great view of the area. Also a new Wawa was built right across the street =) Highly recommended."
