"I love living at Oakland Hills Apartments! My view is so pretty and the neighborhood is quiet. Penny and Rafael make living here that much better. Penny is always so friendly and makes sure anything I need is done and she always answers any questions I have right away while always being extremely kind and pleasant. Rafael, also, goes above and beyond. I have never ever felt like I cannot come to he or Penny with anything I need. I truly feel like they care and want my family to be happy. I cannot express how grateful I am for both Penny and Rafael. Meghan"

"Please don't be deterred by the bad reviews here, they were one or two years ago and whatever has changed since then WORKED. I live here and have since early 2019. I love these apartments. They are beautiful. I cannot hear my neighbors and they cannot hear me, concrete walls im told? whatever it works! Penny and Rafael are so awesome. They are a team who care about this place! If i ever have an issue they address it quickly. (spiders in my apartment, send out exterminator consistently at no charge, etc) I love looking out the window and seeing trees and grass, i love this location, i love the quiet, i really enjoy living here. I highly recommend!"

"My wife and moved into our apartment here at Oakland Hills in August of 2020, this is our first experience of moving into our own home and fully being on our own. The property manager, Penny Staples, went out of her way to show us kindness, patience and took the time to explain every single step of the leasing process (literally responding to my many emails daily.) She is extremely helpful and eager to make your life easier. Penny and her maintenance staff work simultaneously to make sure any and all tenant needs are tended to, and they do so in a swift manner! Our apartment is nicely updated with an open concept living style, and it sits beautifully on the golf course- we like to think our view is the best! Highly recommend moving to this development if you are looking for a quiet, private and comfortable home."

"So I am writing this review today because I had originally wrote it on Maryland Management Company's Face book page, which no longer exists(I'm assuming because of all the terrible reviews.) I would NOT recommend living at the Oakland Hills Apartments, which is managed by Maryland Management Company. Original Review posted on Nov. 3rd: "Contacted Management multiple times complaining about trash and dog feces being dropped onto my patio for the past two weeks. Notices were suppose to be sent out twice, i was never notified or contacted with confirmation on whether or not notices were given out. Still repeatedly keep having feces dropped on my patio. This is a health and sanitary issue. Management has refused to clean up the mess for over a week, main management lady states that she wanted the tenant responsible (who she had a very hard time getting a hold of) to clean up the mess. One of the maintenance guys went against her orders and cleaned up the mess that had been on my patio for over a week and accumulating. He agreed that it was not right to have me have to deal with the mess and wait on the tenant to clean it up. Not keeping a clean and sanitary environment for tenants is a breach of contract and I would not recommend Oakland Hills Apartments to anyone." I just want to make potential renters aware of what they may be dealing with if they chose to rent from Oakland Hills...poor management unfortunately. ***I keep trying to add photos to this review and for some reason have been unable to add them.
