"They advertise a nonsmoking property but are poor at maintaining their promise to provide this. My residency at this property is disrupted on a daily basis by smokers disregarding their lease who sneak cigarettes outside in their doorway very early between 2 am - 7 am and then sneak back inside their units. As there are no security cameras on this property, smokers can get away with this disruptive and disrespectful behavior providing an ongoing nuisance to this nonsmoking community. Beware of current management at this property. When I stated to two of my neighbors upon running into them outside that I smelled smoke on a daily basis, they ran to management complaining that I was harassing them. Management then issued me a violation letter and released me from my lease rather than act in a professional and respectful manner by asking to speak to me in the office to hear my side of the story and what I have been enduring on a daily basis since moving into this property. if you should be unfortunate enough to have a sneaky smoker as a neighbor, management sees you as the problem if you speak up, rather than effectively deal with the problem. I do, however, have to put in a good word for the front office staff - Kurt and Katie - who are a pleasure to deal with."

"As a former resident, I can confidently say this apartment complex is far from perfect. Its best attribute is its location given its proximity to the shops in Kentlands. My wife and I lived on the top floor of our building and still had ant infestations each Spring (we were extremely clean and there were no food sources such as dirty dishes around). Our electric bill consistently ran high, a combination of the area's population density and the apartment building's construction. Many residents failed to pick up their dog poop on the grounds. One toilet often had issues flushing... we were told by management that only 1 brand of TP should be used and when that didn't work, "perhaps just pee in the guest bathroom." Grossly overpriced for what you obtain in square feet of living space. Finally, the leasing office staff requested with some urgency that residents post 5-star reviews so beware he high average ratings."

"Conveniently and comfortably located in the heart of Kentlands, a vibrant, sophisticated and friendly community in Gaithersburg/North Potomac, the Courts of Devon, well managed by reputed Bozzuto, is certainly my favorite place to live in Greater DC area. Having lived here for three and half years, I was happy to find that the friendly, knowledgeable, efficient Leasing Office staff and maintenance team, the frequent, lovely community events such as outdoor movies, Happy Hour, Poolside Party, etc. bring the entire community together regardless of our cultural, ethnic or religious backgrounds. Diversity and inclusiveness, respect for the residents, efficiency, effective communications — all work together to make this place a safe, happy home for us all. "Good location and great maintenance team, but not a great experience with the office or a new neighbor. I've lived here for 4 years with different tenants above me and no problems, but the newest one is extremely inconsiderate and makes excessive, ceiling-shaking noise most of time they're home and in the middle of the night. I have communicated this to the office and they say they have sent notices, but nothing has changed. Can't wait until my lease is over so I can move and finally get some peace."

"Overall it’s a really easy place to live! Mostly due to its location and connivence to groceries, coffee, good restaurants and easy access for commuters. Have also made some really good friends in a few neighbors and the majority of people who live here are nice or keep to themselves. Living in the Kentlands in a lot of ways are your amenities - trails, lakes, entertainment, close to many things - because compared to other apartments like it in the area there are fewer amenities here for the price. Prices did rise this year by a fair amount and have many people considering moving. That being said, if you do want a seasonal pool this is a nice one (no laps), the gym is small but always clean, and the building does host several events with food a year (but my guess is we’ve paid for them in our rent). If you want to live in the Kentlands/Lakelands and enjoy nicer than builder grade apartments I would recommend!"
