Mercy Health - Howland Urgent Care

"This place is terrible! Staff is rude doesn't communicate, and refuses to listen to patient concerns. I've never had such a bad experience at a dr office in my life. Plus the place is filthy... that should tell you all you need to know about this dump. The NP on call and her assistants today need to look into a new profession because they clearly are interested in actually helping patients."

"I called this urgent care to make sure of the hours and to make sure they could do sutures. My husband sliced his hand pretty deep. The person who answered was short with me, and stated they were getting “hammered” and had a wait longer than an hour. Lots of sighs and sounding disgusted like we were bothering her. Since it was on speaker on my phone, my husband stated no way he’d go there with that attitude……. So I cleaned it, steri strips, and added a clean wrap. This will be our daily routine since it pretty deep. Very sad, I won’t send any one there"

"Came here for a cat scratch to my daughter’s eye. Was advised by her pediatrician to get it looked at and flushed. Front desk lady was sweet and Nurse Stephanie was very nice. The CNP didn’t even look in her eye, though all the equipment was laid out by nurse to do a full exam. Waited 3 hours and was seen in less than one minute by the CNP Marian Conner. Still need to call the pediatrician tomorrow. Not looking forward to this unhelpful medical bill…….."

"This is difficult because I value good medical care. I visited the urgent care on Monday and was sent home with prescriptions called in of what I thought would help me. Go to get the scripts and only had a nausea med (was supposed to get penicillin and nausea meds). At that point urgent care was closed so I couldn’t get anyone to update scripts. Called the next morning and there was no notation about the penicillin. Provider (not a doctor) never put down what we discussed. Go back to get this fixed and entire new staff was in place and had to see another provider (so much more helpful). Only positive was someone telling me to call patient relations because they charge TWICE. I have to pay for both providers which I understand but still shouldn’t happen because of their mistake. Management needs to check their provider staff… this first lady never looked down my throat which was ICKY just checked my lungs and ears (she said clear the second provider said fluid)."

"First I must say with being a Mercy employee for many years I'm absolutely ashamed to say I work for this company after the care I was given yesterday. It's a shame that certain employees can give us a bad name, I know personally myself as a employee I treat every patient as if it was my loved one. My nurse Maggie was very sweet and kind but the NP Marian Conner should not work with the public, she was rude and acted like i was bothering her. She didn't even check my ears, throat, or nose while she was in the room. She simply checked my breathing and that's it, and stated my oxygen was fine which it should be since I was sitting there doing nothing. I can't believe this woman is in still here after all the bad reviews I have seen about her. Sadly for now on I will drive to well now in Boardman which I would of went yesterday but the Niles location is closed."
