"Came here because it was close. Well the idiotic doctor they have in the er didn't listen to a thing she said. Thought maybe this being wvu medicine would make it better. Well it didn't. This place is nothing but a glorified band-aid station like it has always been. Update.... nothing has changed with this joke of a hospital. The doctor wouldn't even step foot in the room. Stood in the doorway and talked like he was scared to even touch our son this time. Do yourselves a favor and skip the harrison bandaid station and go to a REAL HOSPITAL. We went to Weirton Medical and got the care for our son that he truly needed. WVU medicine should be ashamed of themselves with this place."

"If i could give 5 negative stars, I would. "Dr." Dayton is the most narcissistic, incompetent, rude, uncompassionate person I have ever encountered. The nurse we had was just as awful. There was an extreme lack of communication between the two. The ER report had false information on it. I reported the "doctor" and nothing was done. I have also read a number of other complaints about her after the fact. I took my son there because the other emergency rooms had 2+ hours wait time. There was no wait time there. I now understand why. I wouldn't take my worst enemy there"

"1st time....Arrived with symptoms of a heart attack. Was seen immediately, and taken care of by a very good doctor who cares. Patient was stabilized and transferred to another hospital. Cafe food is ok. 2nd time...Nurse deliberately disrespectful, treated patient & their family like idiots. Doctor seemed distracted, frightened, & confusing. They insisted on hospitalization WITHOUT reason and WITHOUT explanation (for a diagnosis that NEVER requires an overnight stay)!!! Doctor REFUSED to talk to the patient or family ... he spent 1 minute with us TOTAL & explained nothing. Had to talk with the head of hospital staff, who finally provided some answers, and agreed hospitalization for diagnosis wasn't normal. Surprised to see the COMPLETE lack of professionalism in SOME of the staff (not all). We walked out & WON'T be back!"

"Horrible hospital. I cant even begin to sum up how my 81 year old father was treated by the Dr. Here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Some of the nurses were sweet and actually expressed sympathy to my mom and dad and encouraged them to transfer him to another hospital. When he left one unpleasant nurse literally just ripped the IV out of his arm and let him bleed. He is moving to better more compassionate hands. If I could give a negitive rating I certainly would. They in no means even deserve 1 star."

"If there was a negative rating I would choose that. My husband went in the er for severe abdominal pain on a Saturday night. He was told by Dr. Pecar he had appendicitis and he would have to be transferred for surgery because they do not have a surgeon on the weekends. We were transferred to Wheeling and there was told he did not need surgery because it wasn't appendicitis. If it had been a weekday he would have had emergency surgery for a condition he didn't even have! I will say the nurses are very kind and attentive."
