"Wow what an experience Little River inn is amazing. Tucker and his wife are great hosts we had the best time. I highly recommend staying here."
"This little inn was the perfect refuge from the winter storm we had last night. We had left a job site and it was not safe enough to drive an hour+ home. We called Little River Inn and Tucker had a place for us to stay, we got great sleep, and had an absolutely lovely breakfast. I don’t even like coffee and I loved his coffee! The donkeys were also so sweet and Tucker gave us carrots to feed them. Tucker is a fantastic host and I would gladly stay here again!"
"This is a great place. Not only was the Patent House a cute little place, There was also a main house with various amenities. Be aware there is no kitchen in the Patent House but the main house which is adjacent has a full kitchen with snacks and other items. The big addition is Tucker. He is the owner. We had a cooked to order breakfast by him and great conversation. He is a worldly guy who loves to chat about all sorts of things. He made the visit even that much more special! Highly recommended."
"Sweet and cozy. Tucker is a wonderful host. Comfortable beds in the Log Cabin. Good hearty breakfasts. Great location: charming town of Middleberg and Washington DC are short drives away. Part of the Appalachian Trail is also a short drive. Plenty of wineries and restaurants in the area. Our kid is at George Mason University and this was a great place to stay while visiting him; away from the hustle and bustle of Fairfax yet close enough to campus."
"Personal service, a cultured and friendly "Mom and Pop" B&B sort of (small, old) inn in Northern Virginia's horse country. I went there in order to attend a nearby wedding. Relaxing surroundings, and a grocery store two doors down that makes barbeque ribs of renown beyond Aldie (and with an aggressive salesman). They will bend over backwards and exercise ingenuity to be helpful about clients' wishes, interests and local needs. The ad says something about "continental breakfast", but Mary Ann and Tucker are nothing if not versatile. They prepared scrambled eggs, real sausage, an apple betty, muffins and offered eggs to order if any of the group wished. I find that I prefer this experience to anything that large corporations in tall glass buildings have to offer, and recommend this to any who wish for a taste of country living. Note that the "olde" building is olde, thus has character and is part of the experience. Mary Ann's gardens across the street are beautiful, Milo the donkey out back loves apples, and if you show up on a car rally club meeting weekend you might get to see and hear a McLaren close up. If you leave without a smile at some of the experience(s), it will be your own fault."
