Super 8 by Wyndham Manassas

"I recently stayed at the Super 8 in Manassas, Virginia, and I'd like to share my experience and findings with you. Accommodations: The rooms at this Super 8 were impressively clean, which is a crucial aspect of any hotel stay. I didn't encounter any cleanliness issues during my visit. However, there was a minor inconvenience with the room door. It kept jamming, which required me to exert extra force to open it. While this wasn't a major problem, it did detract from the overall experience. Staff: The interaction with the hotel staff was a mixed bag. The first staff member I encountered was friendly and welcoming, which set a positive tone for my stay. However, my experience with the second staff member was less pleasant, as they came across as somewhat rude. Consistency in customer service is essential, and this inconsistency was a bit disappointing. Guests: One of the most unusual experiences during my stay was related to other guests. At 2 am, I had an unexpected encounter with a fellow guest who was sitting and leaning on my room door while FaceTiming his girlfriend. This situation was quite uncomfortable, and the individual refused to leave. In response, I decided to play Justin Bieber's "Baby" on repeat, right next to my door, to encourage him to relocate. Eventually, this unconventional method worked, and he left. Overall Impression: In summary, the Super 8 in Manassas, Virginia, can be described as a typical Super 8 property. The primary strength of this hotel is its cleanliness, which is a fundamental aspect of any accommodation. However, the issue with the door and the mixed experiences with the staff could be improved to enhance the overall guest experience. Additionally, the behavior of some other guests during my stay was certainly unusual and impacted my overall impression of the hotel. Nevertheless, if you prioritize cleanliness and can tolerate minor inconveniences, this Super 8 could still be a suitable choice for your stay in the area."

"Traveling through the area for work. Booked online last minute. Very bright busy area. IHOP is next door. Close to everything supermarket, gas station , walmart , fast food all in walking distance. Decent hotel 3 floors . Stayed in non smoking room. New sink . Updated bathroom. Brought our own linens . Excellent housekeeping these ladies worked every single day. Very friendly. The young gentleman with the glasses in the morning was very professional keeping everything in spotless."

"Beds are soft. The very bottom mattress cover probably hasn't been removed since the mattresses were put in. No maid service during the day (probably could request it). Floors are never cleaned...bring sandals or flip flops. But, good news, haven't noticed any bed bugs or roaches. Appliances work and there is hot water and decent Wi-Fi.The rooms may indicate non-smoking but they smell like an ashtray."

"Room was very clean. Bathroom set up a bit awkwardly. Service was fine, but had to track down TP and face cloths myself. Only one coffee carafe available at breakfast, had to keep waiting for refills. Location was ok, outside of town center, but still to get anywhere there was traffic issues."

"Well pictures wouldn't do this place justice in that any photos I would be suspicious of after staying here. First the elevator is out of order second they are still working to renovate some of the rooms and it shows. I applaud the effort but I wish the effort would be placed towards the customer also. The only bright spot was the gentleman that took my reservation and conducted his self in manner fitting a hospitality associate. The maid service is quite ify at best because I asked for the room to be cleaned and I could tell the sheets weren't changed from the night before neither were the dresser drawers cleaned because the same slip of paper was still in the same draw when I came back to the room the next night. Also both nights we had to call the front desk for towels and wash clothes some of them looked so bad I wouldn't give them to my worse enemy. In a month or so I'll go back to see if the service is the same. I'm betting that it will be but it's close and convenient that's about the second best thing. So if you go there do a room check before you sign in to make sure everything is up to the standards of a human being and not someone who just has some place after a long day to lay your head."
