"My wife and I loved everything about our room. It was cozy, very clean, modern, and comfortable. Shirley at the front desk was terrific. Such great hospitality and thoughtfulness. The whole property is obviously well maintained. We really enjoyed people watching from the patio deck on the courtyard. The location can’t be beat! Riverview Inn is retro, done right."

"This is an cute motel however Kelly at the front desk is rude, nasty and very unprofessional. We had trouble with our lock on door. She gives us many instructions that didn't work us or her. The door was not working. She wasn't nice it was our fault we weren't doing right. So she come to show us it doesn't open for her either imagine that. She this is a 1930s motel but locks aren't from 1930s if there were it would be a key and it would work come find the battery in lock probably needs to be changed cause it's 2 years old. She should have just fixed it but instead she made excuses why it wasn't working and it was our fault. In morning in office she tells my mom why didn't you tell you were having a problem with the door I could fixed. Hello do you have multiple personalities do not remember last night? What a nightmare I think she just didn't what to look stupid in front of the other guest getting coffee in the lobby. We hoping the lovely gentleman that confirm our room would be there in the morning so we could explain about our door. Hopefully it's been fixed since but who knows. If you pleasure of staying there hopefully you have a better experience then we did there cute things in room makeup towel, robes etc. There is awesome Mexican restaurant you have to I wish I could give them a 100 stars"

"On a spur of the moment i decided to take by daughter and her friend to Colonial Beach. It was planned as a day trip, but the girls wanted to stay the night and enjoy another day there. We tried to find a vacancy at a couple places with no luck. When we went to Riverview Kelly, the owner took us in. She even gave me a discount off the normal rate. She was very pleasant to talk to. Our room was amazingly decorated. My girls were thrilled about the accommodations. They even had bath robes and slippers provided at no extra cost. Sean was great at customer service. We talked for half an hour. The office was packed full of free goodies like popcorn granola bars, water, orange juice on ice in the morning. I highly recommend staying there for the absolute perfect place to be in Colonial Beach."

"We enjoyed our two night stay at the riverside inn. The shower is tiny but the room was very clean and cute. There were nice small touches like robes, slippers, brochures of the area and hand sanitizer. We appreciated the snacks, good coffee, ice for our water bottles and the masks. Very friendly staff too."

"This hotel and staff are absolute gems! We found the place randomly passing through Eastern VA. It was updated, clean and quiet. All the amenities in the room. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, even letting me work off the wifi in the office after we checked out. We had the best time. It was an unexpected stop, but we will definitely be back."
