"Today I was looking forward to getting some Filipino food for lunch and also picking up a few groceries at Manila Mart. For carry-out lunch, I ordered two lunch combos. I also ordered 1 lb of lechon kawali, which was $33 a pound. I was so disappointed that the lechon was basically just fat. I am a Filipino and know my lechon. I called Manila Mart and explained to the manager the situation. At first, I was offered a 5% discount on my next visit. I told the manager that my husband ended up putting the lechon in the garbage disposal because we can’t eat the just fat—$33 went down the drain. Later, I was told he would refund me 50% of the $33. I have been a longtime customer of Manila Mart and have been satisfied with the quality of the food previously; but not today. I know next time I will not get lechon kawali, and I will check my food before taking it home."

"Excellent, like my coworker said, "It's is good, very, very good." Everything we ordered was delicious. Pansies were exquisite. It's not sticky white rice but the rice is definitely good. It's worth coming to this hole in the wall Filipino restaurant/grocery shop."
