Hampton Inn Washington, DC/White House

"Room was good and clean. But hot water ran out the first day when 1 person had a shower. It was fixed after 30mins or so once we let the staff know. Coffee machine stopped working but they replaced after a call. They act very promptly. Good service overall. Very close to nearest bus stop/ train station and convenient if you are taking public transport to Washington DC. Breakfast was very good and had lots of options. They have coffee/ tea in the lobby all day for guests which is very nice. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is traveling Washington DC."

"We recently stayed here on a trip to DC mid December 2023. The hotel was very easy to find and conveniently located next to two metro stops, making it very easy to get to from Union Station after the train up. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly, especially Amber at the front desk who was extremely helpful and understanding when our room wasn’t 100% ready when we arrived. She got everything sorted very quickly, and we only had to wait about 10 minutes. The room, bathroom, and bed were all clean and comfortable. The room was very quiet and we had no issues with street noise or sound from other guests. The hotel also had an included hot breakfast every morning, which was a plus. We really liked this hotel and will be sure to stay here again next time we are in DC!"

"Hotel was nice and clean, staff was friendly. My only complaint was check-in was incredibly stressful. My room still wasn't ready at almost 3:45 - and check in was at 3pm. Then, my company's cc authorization wasn't showing up in their system. Fortunately, I had a printed copy with me as well as an email trail from an employee at that location. The staff made it right, but it was tiring after a very long day. Again, not a complaint against the staff -they were great. Just the overall check-in experience."

"It’s clear that whoever owns or manages this hotel has never actually stayed in one of the rooms. I will say, though, the room was clean and the common areas are nice. This hotel is also in a great location just a couple blocks from the White House. The bed was way too firm. It was almost like sleeping on a slab of stone. The water pressure in the shower was very low to the point where it takes a long time to take a shower. We could not control the temperature in our room to our liking because I’m sure they have it controlled by a computer that limits what you can do. Despite setting the heat on 76 the room never got warmer than 70. The windows also need to be replaced. They are old and single pane. You can hear everything outside and you can feel the cold draft coming in. While I liked the location the poor sleep quality would keep me from staying here again."
