"Awesome B&B! All the B&Bs in Gettysburg have great reps but there are a few places we really enjoy like the Swope. It’s clean, the staff is really nice. Love the rooms and the mattresses…most important!! Nice location to the city garage too!"

"We visit Gettysburg several times a year, and the Swope Manor is easily the best place to stay in town. Bruce is an absolute gem. They are very friendly, flexible with your arrival/departure schedule, and the breakfast is top notch. The atmosphere is very elegant, and does not feel like you are staying in a hotel. We most certainly will never stay anywhere else while in Gettysburg."

"Our room (the Longstreet Room) was kind of small, but that didn't matter because there are so many beautiful and comfortable common areas to sit and relax. We were especially impressed with the library and the sitting room in the front corner of the house. We peeked into some of the empty suites and they are very spacious. We enjoyed very much chatting with the owner and were pleased with his restaurant recommendations. His daughter gives a talk on the history of the house while wearing period costume that is not to be missed. The staff and breakfast service are outstanding.The food is delicious.I appreciated very much the coffee available at any time and took advantage of it every day of our stay. The only negative is that the heat in the room is hard to regulate (we visited in late December). The lowest setting is too cold, but when you turn up the heat, the room becomes stifling."

"This place is amazing! It was everything we wanted and MORE! Since we decided to visit historic Gettysburg, we wanted to stay in a historic hotel or bed and breakfast with character. The Swope Manor checked all of those boxes. We stayed in the Dorothy Suite, which is the BEST room! It's spacious, historic with a sizable bathroom. The staff was equally amazing too! Courteous, knowledgeable, provided great service and friendly. The owner stopped by during Sunday breakfast and gave us a nice history lesson which was a nice end to a perfect weekend in Gettysburg!
