Waypoint House Bed and Breakfast

"My family and I stayed here on our way from Hudson Valley New York to Tennessee while traveling for Christmas. We have 2 teenage sons and a small dog. We rented all 3 rooms, so had the entire home on both our outbound and return trips. It was a perfect location for a pit stop along our route. I simply could not believe how reasonable the cost was per room. Amazing value which is why we rented all rooms. I have absolutely nothing but positive comments to share regarding Rachel's home and our experience. The home was beautifully restored, an impeccable combination maintaining the charm of the home's original construction, but with modern feel and amenities. As a pet friendly establishment (we've stayed at many), the home was absolutely meticulous in the degree of cleanliness throughout. Far, far moreso than so many establishments that do not allow pets. The warm welcome, amazing breakfast (my family and I are not generally breakfast eaters, but we indulged as it could not be avoided), the space, the convenience.....to much to cover in a concise review. One last point worth adding.....the location is set a few miles off of the main highway, small town side street ....SO, SO, SO cozy and quiet. Had the best night's sleep in years. My wife and I both agreed that if it was closer to our home, we would visit regularly just for the peace and rest. Beautifully done Rachel. You've nailed the experience for your guests. The holiday decor, the brownies or cookies on the bedside tables upon arrival, the robes, the slippers.....you've covered it all. Exceeded even our Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts experiences. We look forward to our stay during the Christmas travels next year. A new tradition for our family to be sure."

"We stayed for one night in the Traveler’s Room and had an absolutely lovely experience. I am honestly shocked that the room rate isn’t a couple hundred dollars higher. They checked all the boxes for an excellent bed and breakfast, like a seamless check-in experience, great location a five minute sidewalked-walk to an adorable Main Street with a tea parlor and knitting shop, excellent water pressure and water heating speed, and immaculately dustless, danderless and clean rooms- above hotel standards, much less 100+ year old houses. However, the details proved this bed and breakfast a cut above. The adjustable heated mattress pads for each side of the bed, the epsom salts and birch candles next to the soaking tub, the breakfast fruit plate having only the fruit that one would usually pick around the melon to eat and no melon. Even though it’s a bit of distance to Harper’s Ferry, the next time I’m visiting Harper’s Ferry, I will definitely opt to stay here."

"Rachel is a very personable host. Excellent food and just the right amount! Welcome brownies were delish! (Hubby wanted some milk to with them though!) The self check-in was easy. Beds and the temperature of the room were comfortable. Really enjoyed the walkability of the town. Rachel recommended NIKs for dinner our first night and it was great. The Thai place was a good change of pace."

"Had a great experience staying at the Waypoint House. Nicely decorated house, newly renovated bathrooms, and comfortable bed. Rachael was so welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was tasty and the freshly baked brownies waiting in our room were delicious. Highly recommend!"
