"Local hang out frequented by lots of usual suspects who love to strike up friendly conversation with visitors. Best burgers in town. Super juicy. Also vegan options. Get there early. Kitchen closes at 8 sharp. Good selection of local and other brews on tap. The usual cans and bottles, ice cold in the cooler. The Mecklenburg Inn is a big supporter of local musicians. Open mic night is on Thursday. It’s free. Bring your 6 string. Folks come in to get their feet wet playing in front of others. Local bands most Saturday nights with a small cash cover. Amazing outside garden out back. Lots of old hard-scape, mature trees and places to sit from the nicely laid out tables to the swing. Darts in the back room and every once in a while, shuffleboard. The game of the day is usually on the screen above the bar. Definitely put it on the list if you are stopping by Shepherdstown. George the owner, Lynn, Kevin, Audra. They will all take very good care of you."
