Clarysville Motel

"The owner was so nice. My husband and I originally booked a single bed room but we were not pleased that we had no table in our room. Which we realized he was unaware of. We thought the room had no hot water but you just have to let it run for 8 to 10 minutes. A visiting friend went to the office with me and asked for a bigger room. She wanted us to have something nicer for our 39th weddings anniversary. Said they didn't have any singles left but had a double bed room for only $10 more. The room he gave us was very nice and clean. We definitely would recommend this place. We come to MD a few times a year. We will be staying at Clarysville Motrl again. Also, the landscaping was very nice in front of the motel."

"I’m currently staying here for work. My last day will be this weekend. The owner of this motel is an Indian man and he is very money hungry. I’ve been paying on a week to week basis and he would come knock on the door the day before for payment. I told him I’m not paying a day before. Today my payment was so and I came to my room first to change. He didn’t even give me 10 minutes before he came and knocked on my door. It’s annoying. He is also outside arguing with a man that paid him for a month because the man owe him 100 dollars. And that’s going on as I’m typing this. It woke me up. I can hear him saying he will give it to him in the morning but the man put a lock on his door and threatened to call the police. The man in the room anyway because he paid him for a month. The rooms aren’t that clean and they have ROACHES. Stay somewhere else people."

"Paid for 8 days in a double bed/kitchen room. I've never been in such disgusting rooms before. I didn't even feel comfortable removing my shoes. Filthy carpet, stained furniture, broken blinds, dirty kitchen, flys in room, no hot water from bathroom sink, door was hard to close and had flimsy locks that a criminal could easily break through. The kitchen and bathroom floor had obviously been cleaned with a greasy mop and I almost fell down. The guy at the front desk barely spoke English and struggled to understand the room was a dump. Gave us a temporary room with 1 bed. It wasn't much better. In the end my mother and I left and stayed in the hotel down the street. Don't believe the other reviews on here."

"It is what it is. Neither good nor bad. It is a business in transformation. Apparently some not so savory characters had set these people's business on fire cooking something they shouldn't have. At least that's the story I heard. I see the remodeling results in the front of the motel are very good. The back rooms have not been remodeled. The back rooms should be remodeled for the price per week. There is a stove but no hood. The little food store inside the lobby had a very random selection but it did have common staples as well. The family that owns this place are nice. Only the difficulty in communication may give you the feeling of rudeness but this is not the case at all. They are actually nice. All in all it's too pricey for the unremodeled units but not for the remodeled ones."
