"I asked for a pretty simple design and the tech said no. Whatever I can deal with French. Besides the fact she was stabbing my cuticles with her dagger nails and making me bleed from the file, she refused to listen to me at all. Some of my blood got on the gel and I asked her to please wipe it off. She gestured no at me and continues on. I ask her again to remove a white dot that got onto the tan part of the design, she tried and when it didn’t come off, she just gave up. I’m not trying to pay $70 for nails that were lazily done. If you come here, it clearly very depends on who you get if you’ll have a nice experience. My nails are cute but sloppy and have stray marks on the tan part of the French. Go somewhere else if you want nail art, star nails in conshocken is worth the drive. I’m just gonna stick with my 30 minute drive instead of coming here. I’m doing the design that I wanted myself into cause it was easy, she was just lazy and clearly wanted to gtfo. The marks aren’t even bad it’s just the fact I asked her to clean them up please and she refused."
"My friend and I went here for manicures for my birthday. It was the first time either of us have done anything like that for ourselves in a long time, and we were so excited! As soon as we walked in, it was a very tense and judging atmosphere. Not seeing another person in there AT ALL should've have been the sign to leave. No one greeted us and we didn't know what to do so we stood there until eventually someone pointed at the tablet that you apparently get your self checked in on. We only got gel manicures and they kept asking us if we wanted to do full sets. We kept declining, which would lead to conversations amongst themselves in their language. When we were told to sit, we were gonna be on two opposite ends of the building despite us coming in together and no one else was there. So we had to ask if we could sit together we were asked why. Why? Because we came in together and we're going this together! My nail tech tossed her box of tools on the table with a sigh and did my manicure without laying a towel down, so my hands were just on the bare marble table getting the manicure. Not sure how sanitary that is, since I also didn't see them clean anything off or unwrap any tools? During the service my nail tech didn't say anything to me, just sitting silence and whatever conversation she was having (obviously about my friend and I. Yes it was that obvious.) Luckily it wasn't that long of a service, and they made sure of that. I've worked in customer service for my entire life, I've been a massage therapist and esthetician for 10 years now and I just cannot fathom so openly not wanting to do your job in front of clients. It's a good way to ruin a business. The silence on all the negative reviews but thanking the 5 stars says everything it needs to about this place. The whole thing reminded me a lot of that Seinfeld episode where Elaine caught the people talking about her at the nail salon tbh. Nails look 3/5 since I can't paint my own nails or deal with my own cuticles, but they don't have that *clean* professional polish as nails should look after getting them done"
"Tina is undeniably the queen of pedicures! Not only do I leave her salon with beautiful toes, but also with a rejuvenated spirit, thanks to her exceptional massage therapy skills. Her consistently friendly, warm, and genuine nature always makes the experience even more enjoyable. The spa's pristine cleanliness and their dedication to staying up-to-date with all the new trends in nails have kept me coming back as a long-time customer. It's not just about avoiding other options; it's because Tina's nail salon is simply the best in the area. Treat yourself to Tina's magical touch and experience the ultimate pampering for your toes!"
"This afternoon my mother and I visited the Providence Spa & Nails location. Upon entering the store nobody greeted us or told us where to look for our colors. We wanted gel manicures. The counter was littered with bottles of nail polish. Others were picking colors from there, so we followed suit. We sat and waited 15 minutes before anyone even asked what we were there for. After waiting 30 minutes my mom asked how much longer it would be until we were seen. We were fine with coming back at a later time if they were too busy. The answer we got was “soon.” 5 minutes later we were helped. The woman doing my nails told me not to watch and kept telling me to relax my arms, but the way she was turning my arms I literally could not relax them at all. I have cuticles that are bitten and rough, so I realize the surrounding skin will not be perfectly smooth. However, my cuticles and skin still look very rough. There were still dead white pieces sticking off after the manicure. Everything was very rushed. My nail was barely prepped and immediately started with gel polish. At one point she told me to put my nails in the UV dryer for “a few minutes” and walked away for 5. She said someone else got mixed up so she had to do something else. That’s not my problem. My “hand massage” lasted not even a minute between both hands. It was the most rushed service I have ever had in my entire life. I LOVE getting my nails done. I don’t mind spending the money for a good manicure, but I paid $45 today for the WORST manicure experience of my life. There was still nail file dust in my nail walls after the manicure was over, which you can see in the photos I attached. My mother had a similar experience. The woman doing her manicure was constantly looking around at the bush salon the entire time. She barely even looked at my moms nails while she did them. My mom was trying to grow out her nails, but the lady filed them down so low and square that she barely has any nail at all growing beyond the nail bed. They’re thick on the ends. One nail corner doesn’t even have any polish on it. The polish she chose was not gel, which we didn’t know because nobody instructed us. My mom said to choose a similar purple in a gel color, but her nail tech chose the first purple she saw… very dark and nothing at all similar. My mom said she didn’t like it, so the lady told her to look at the check out counter littered with polished (where we looked originally.) she chose a new color, this also wasn’t gel. She got an attitude from the nail tech even though she chose a color from exactly where she was told to look. My mom chose a third color, which was gel. Her services were just as rushed and poor as mine were. We are severely disappointed with the service and price. We will never be back."
